I've seen at least 6 films on his team and could tell you every tendancy they have;) I know for a fact a different scheme would utilize his talent better. Pikeville has LOADS of talent! I would say they have the most talent in Region 4 this year. Say what you want but I've seen their games this year and I know what I'm talking about.

I think Coach Jackson's offensive scheme was flawed. When you are a great coach you take the talent you are given and scheme around them in order to win. Coach Jackson took his players and did one of two things. Number 1, he would line up in the "I" and put a blocking back to the side he would run the ball(very predictable). Number 2, he would go to what he calls the "spread" offense but it is just a shotgun variation of the old 1940's single wing. The problem with this is that he is running his offense in a phone booth. When you have a lot of speed and athletic ability you need to use it by spreading the field and making your speed count. I'm not a Pikeville fan so it doesn't really bother me one way or another if he changes his offensive style or if they force him out. I am just stating the fact of why the offense was very predictable and didn't utilize the talent available.

I'll take Male in this one. Should be a great game! I just think Male is the best team in the state this year.

I wish I could be two places at once this Friday I'd love to watch this one. I'll be in Somerset watching the Jumpers take on the Dawgs. Yeah Adopted Ad it would be good for Somerset to get another crack at Danville I felt like the first time they came out a little flat and got overwhelmed. I promise I will checking this score as soon at the Somerset game is over.

I would never root against my boys but if I was on the outside looking in then yeah, I would more than likely be pulling for the underdog.

Haha Adopted Ad its not really that I'm against Danville, I just like to cheer to for underdogs! Whether I'm cheering for Bethlehem or your cheering for Hazard won't make a difference in the outcome of the two games. I always go for the underdog in sports.

Score was 10-0 Somerset shut the ads out. Yeah this will be a good game. I was just drawing similarities.

Speed speed speed... Henry Clay has it all over the field. I think it will be the difference in this game.

I remember in 1999 Somerset went to Bardstown and pulled the upset. Turned around the next week and went to Danville and pulled that upset. Seems like a very similar situation to me! I hope that Bethlehem can win this ballgame but I see Danville as the clear favorite due to experience in the playoffs and home field advantage.

Go Southwestern! Let's bring two Regional title's to Somerset this year!

BG is gonna roll in this one! From what I hear, I just don't think Hoptown has what it takes this year to contain them.

I'm going to go with Middlesboro in this one. I think if they can hold onto the football then they will be able to beat Belfry but if they turn it over they will pay for it.

I looked on Rivals.com and he has UK listed as his number 1 school now.

I have a feeling that this is going to be Rock's game! Coach Larkey does a good job and he'll have them ready. Good luck to both teams. I'm sure that most everyone in the mountains will be watching this score next week.

I'd like to see Corbin win this ballgame! Have to support the area teams. Russell is a very talented and well coached football. Will be a tough game for the Redhounds but stranger things have already happened this year in the playoffs! This is why the games are played! Get after 'em Redhounds!

This wasn't there the first time around(good edit). Somerset didn't try to throw to Cole. Why would they want to when you put 4 secondary players over the top of him? That is why they threw to other people that were wide open and ran the ball with ease. No offense but there isn't a player on Harlan's team that could run with/cover Cole. Just a good gameplan to use Cole to win and they didn't even have to throw it to him for it to happen.

You sure you didn't mean Mayfield big? :lol: This is the same Metcalfe team that lost to Adair County early in the season. I just don't see them even coming close.

NG73, I disagree with you about Harlan out hitting Somerset. I think that Somerset's defense proved last Friday that they were the best defense in the region. I also don't understand why you have to bring up the Ads to fight your battles for you? Oh well I understand it's tough to lose a playoff game and be forced to sit on the sidelines the rest of the season. I've been there too(a few years back but I still remember the feeling). You guys had great heart and fought hard in this game. The best team won(twice). You had a great season! Be proud! Oh yeah and by the way, I remember that "itty-bitty" center getting all over you boys and making some great blocks down field as well. He did his playing between the whistles and maybe that is why you don't remember. It's not wise to get on here and "show your butt" because it not only makes you look bad but reflects badly upon your whole community. NCC will be the favorite since they are the defending state champs. That being said, I feel like this will be a very good game. If Raceland can keep it close then they have a great shot at winning. Slowing down Vicars is the key!

Mercer all the way. They are going to go 15-0 this year. Nobody in Class 2A can touch them. Too much speed. Sweep right, Sweep left is all Coach Jaggers has to call.
