CovCath, and the reason being, more talent on both side of the ball.

What weapons does LexCath have?

I think CCH will win this game because they are the better team. I don't think that the Lex. Cath. offense will beable to move the ball on this CCH defense. If Highlands can't do it I can't see Lex. Cath doing it.

Cov. Cath-31

Lex. Cath-10

I think Catholics offense is better than Highlands. This should be another great game!

CCH just can't afford to let down emotionally after such a huge win over a very good Highlands team. Where and at what time is this game being played?

This is a tough one to call. Neither team has played a common opponent. Both have taken care of business within their district. CCH had two games against a single quality district opponent Highlands and won by a total of 12 points. LexCath beat Franklin County by a total of 9 points in two meetings. LexCath was blown out at St. X 47-0 but it was the first game for a new Qb, OC, and HC. CCH played several tough games against OH teams but lost all three handily. LexCath has the homefield advantage and won last year, but CCH gave LexCath it's closest game last year.

I expect a similar result as last years game. Neither team has an obvious advantage. LexCath's miracle finish yesterday proves they have some grit which should help them if they get down again. Historically LexCath would have lost such a game except for last year. LexCath came out lethargic against Franklin County and then got very nervous when they got behind. They know now what they need to do to prepare themselves for such a game as this. I don't know who will win but will go with the Knights by a fieldgoal.

Both teams coming off emotional wins. I'll take CovCath by 10 with a lot of Popham field goals.

And you are certainly correct, as Catholic did beat the Team from Ft. Thomas twice this year... :D

BTW, while I understand in Lexington, LexCath is know as Catholic, myself and many other who read this thread, or any other thread about CovCath vs. LexCath, would appreciate referring to Catholic as LexCath, so we can keep straight who you are talking about! Remember Catholic was a High School a long, long time, before Catholic, used it for their Catholic High School....

See what I mean.....:D :thumb:

I'm going to go with CovCath in this one but it should be a good game.

CCH played several tough games against OH teams but lost all three handily.

I would say Watterson was the only OH team to beat CovCath handily.

Same out come this year as last.

Im gonna go with CCH in this one...too many weapons for lexcath to contain....May have lexcaths coaches heads spinning. Highlands tried to double cover peter sutton and he still added about a sixty yard score. They also tried to cover Bovard....the outcome resulted in a huge running game.

Is it ture the coaches from Highlands and CovCath left the LexCath game at half time when they came to scout on Friday night? That may have been a big mistake!

Is it true the coaches from Highlands and CovCath left the LexCath game at half time when they came to scout on Friday night? That may have been a big mistake!

I have a hard time thinking you are a LexCath fan, because if you were, you would know.........

That CovCath and LexCath have a very, very good working relationship, especially since LexCath AD is a former CovCath grad, and the son of the current CovCath Head Basketball Coach and the brother of the CovCath current Assistant Basketball Coach.

I am sure that a copy of the CovCath game is on it's way to LexCath and I am sure the LexCath copy might already be in the hands of CovCath via a special delivery...... Once a Colonel, always a Colonel......:D
