If you concentrate to much on Sutton and Bovard, that opens the pass for Wise or Ganshirt/Hennessy. If you try to cover them to much you will open up the run for CC. Also CC has one of the best punters in the state too.

I've not seen CCH play this year but know they must have an awesome team to have beaten HHS twice in a few weeks. The Lex Cath O-Line and D-Line is average. Franklin whipped them the entire first half on both sides of the ball and was mostly taken out of the game in the second half with Lex Cath spreading everyone out from sideline to sideline. CCH better not underestimate the Lex Cath receivers or they will be in for a long night. Burbage was good but Caldwell, Guy & Revere are as good or better. I've seen a lot of high school football players and have never seen a player as fast as Revere. The running back Israel is good but didn't have many holes to run through Friday. The QB is solid and doesn't make many mistakes. I don't think they are as good as last year because of the QB play and the defense is not as good as they were at the end of last season. Revere is a shut down corner but the other side is very weak. Lex Cath is not that complicated offensively they get the ball to their play-makers in space and let them make plays. And they have great play-makers. Their kick return and punt return are probably better than anyone in the state. Having said all that I look for CCH to be able to shut them down except for maybe a few big plays and make enough plays on offense to win a close one. One other thing....CCH won't get a call all night.

 

I've read your posts before.... is it always the fault of the man in stripes? It was a great High School football game, and it would be even greater if the rivalry continues -- it is really getting to be a great one between Lex Cath and Franklin County and even though they will now be in different districts it would be a shame if they didn't continue to schedule each other.

Ive seen both teams play this year and i dont think that cch has more play makers thatn lchs if the lc line holds up then it willbe a nail bitter but i think revere caudwell guy israel will step up big and lch will com out on top 28-21. cch kicker is very good and if lc keeps him outside of the 40 they wont score. it all comes down to defense and if i remember right lc defense comes threw big in the playoffs. lc had just too many big time players. it will all come down to defense and special teams..................

Those are amazing distances for a high school kicker... where is he going to College? Good luck to both CovCath and LexCath... it would be nice to see a regular season game between the two of them now that the number of district games are greatly reduced.

He is still waiting for his first real offer. Have heard from Holy Cross in Boston, Harvard, Centre, & Campbellsville. Florida has asked for game film, and Akron has talked to Coach R. Hopefully something will come soon. Thanks
