(Just a junior btw) and Macon from Danville is deserving as well even though he doesn't have outstanding stats because danville doesn't give him the ball much. He's already been offered a full ride to UK as a Sophomore.

Hines career record speaks for itself, some coaches can compete with less talent and some can't.

I'm not sure of your relationship to Somerset football Jumper1 but you are just as misinformed about the infamous quote as all the other internet posters. 2 years ago Coach Cobb was talking to a reporter and the reporter asked why Somerset couldn't run the ball as well on Williamsburg as they did on Danville two weeks before that. When replying Coach Cobb started talking about how the linebackers run around blocks and play and angle scheme.(the reporter had no clue what Coach Cobb was talking about of course) So Coach Cobb jokingly said "Well have you ever seen a middle school game when the kids run around blocks to get to the ball?" From then on the reporter only took that analogy from the entire conversation. The reality is that the Defensive Coordinator of Williamsburg at that time and Coach Cobb are very good friends so everyone is just blowing that quote way out of proportion. Anyone that knows Coach Cobb will tell you that he never makes excuses about a loss. When a kid plays for him they learn about facing adversity in life. I hope to see a good game tonight between Somerset and Williamsburg. I hate to hear all this hatred between two teams when it boils down to the fact this is a game that high school kids play to have fun. Good luck to Both teams tonight and may it be played in a good atmosphere.

Somerset beat a Cole Draughn led Pulaski squad back to back years, what people forget is that no one was going to win Mr. Football that year other than Brohm. The talent in that year was stacked with Cantwell now starting at Louisville, and Grutza starting qb at Cincy.

Assistant Coach Corbin Brown at Somerset and formerly from Pineville would be a good choice. He is young and full of energy.

I think it is strange that Diehl for NCC didn't get at least an honorable mention because in my opinion he was arguably the best QB in the state this year. This last weekend in Louisville he was by far the best QB and didn't even get a mention? This is pretty bad considering how many media sources their are up in NKY... Although I don't think this poll is accurate I do think that having an all-state team is better than not. PS - I don't blame the writers that vote, I blame the system for the flawed results.

Also as another TE you could put Jason Dunn. He is from Harrodsburg and has had a good career for the Cheifs in the NFL.

As an OL what about the huge guy that they used to call Shaq that played at Lex Cath in 98? Can't remember his real name but he was very good and I think went somewhere D1 to play and had a good career I was told.

Didn't David Akers(the kicker for the Eagles) play at Tates Creek High school? I think it was him. If I'm correct then I think he needs to be the kicker for the all time list.

1)Might have something to do with double the number of male students in the school compared to other 4A schools. 2)I don't buy the fact that they work harder. I've seen plenty of kids that work hard that don't go to a state championship every year. 3)Population of Louisville has something to do with it. 4)They have good coaches but when you have talent like X & T have you are going to look like a good coach whether you are or not. 5)Facilities don't win games so I'm not going to say that has anything to do with it. (Although facilities do attract top notch athletes to want to play there) 6)I think the faith based schools for the most part have a very tight bond with each other. But I've seen many public schools that have had kids that played together since they were about 9 years old and that didn't automatically put them in a state championship. Overall I would say that it is the number of athletes that they have to choose from in their school and also the fact that there is open enrollment so they have a bigger area to pull people than some other schools.(Although all Louisville schools are open enrollment so this doesn't apply to an advantage over other Louisville schools.) They are great programs but with the number of kids in the school that are male, they should be!
