This turned out to be one of the best games I have seen in quite a whille. What a finish! Yeah, too bad the Rebels fought all the way back and had the momentum that was certainly going to finish off the Blue Devils, when in my opinion the Refs took over. Henry Cllay with no timeouts left and 31.9 seconds left on the clock took 5 minutes or more to have the clock changed to 33.9 seconds. This allowed the Blue Devils some much needed rest, a chance to regroup and set up the game winner to their Mr. Football candidate It's always easy to blame things on the Refs though. So with that said, the Rebs just need to put it all together for 4 quarters. Congrats to HC and great job Rebels. Kepp your head up. More big games to come.

This should be a very good and close game. A game of Danville's big play capabilities vs. Boyle's grind it out, sustained drives and steady defense. The Rebels offense and defense seemed to do some growing up in the second half against Henry Clay. I believe Boyle will be hungrier and want it more than the Ads. Boyle 35 Danivlle 31

Any games in the non-district schedule that will be close and competitive? I'm sure the Rock faithful have some bitter feelings towards Boyle Co. and understandably so. Maybe we will both be fortunate and get to meet again this year. You're right Knights 52, tough schedule...

Do you really "hope" we make the playoffs? If you do, glad to have you on board. If the Rock did in fact lose "a ton" like you say, how can you be so sure "they" will even be in the playoffs, let along in the top 5. Does the Rock have a soft schedule or what? The rebuilding years can sometimes be difficult. However, it does make it easier if you have a soft schedule.

I will agree with Super on this one. Don't count Boyle County out. The Rebels play as tough of schedule as you'll find. They will definitely be battle tested come playoff time. We return a senior quarterback, and several juniors that are real playmakers. Boyle will definitely make some noise this year. Go Rebels. Perrin is a gifted athlete who needs to learn to play within himself. He has his engine red-lined right from the jump ball. Then fatigue begins to set in early, and his play drops off throughout the game. I wasn't there, and couldn't say for sure, but sounds like good defense by SL I think it could be more than that. He had a sub-par game against Mercer 2 nights earlier, and the same thing happened. It looked as if there could be some friction with he and Coach Bottoms. Now is definitely not the time for any distractions. So let's go Rebs!

I think the Rebels are on the vurge of a great season. However, in order for that to happen, Coach Pardue "has" to take back over the offensive play calling. I think the defense will be fine, as coach Hester will have those guys ready, and will improve over the course of the season. Everyone has to come back, and they must play with passion and complete dedication. I mean they have to stay focused throughout the offseason and work hard to get stronger. Another big thing is no "DISTRACTIONS". Last year was horrible for off the field problems. Jim Spears (AD) needs to make sure there are no issues with our field. Good luck Rebels, I am counting down to that first game against Bowling Green, @WKU. I can't wait, should be an awesome game.

No question about it in KY, Chuck Smith..... Nobody has ever won 5 straight, and went to a 6th straight which loss to a very good Highlands team. At one time, Boyle County went 3 1/2 years between losses. It was a very special thing to watch develop, going back to about 1993 when Coach Smith took over a terrible program and turned it into a powerhouse. Now, in just his second year as part of UK's coaching staff, you find them back in a bowl game (coincidence or not?), where they haven't been since 1998 I think. That's is about the time he really began to work his magic at Boyle Co. and started toward their total dominance for the next 5 years. Seems like winning just follows him.

Looks like this schedule will be a big time gut check for the Rebels. I think the '07 Rebels have a lot of potential, and could very well contend for Sate. I too, would love to see Coach Pardue take back control of the offense. He is an awesome offensive minded coach. As he proved by leading our offense to 5 straignt championships. I would also like to see Jordan Auhmiller played at Wide Receiver/Tight End next year, I think he's too good of an athlete not to be on the field on the offensive side of the ball. He has the frame of a Jacob Tamme, and with some weight and strength training during the offseason, he could be an effective receiver. Good luck Rebs, I can't wait. Stay dedicated this offseason, and work hard.

:thumb: I agree 100%. This was terrible planning by KHSAA. The game at 11:30 AM is a little ridiculous. If they want to have better attendance, schedule the games when folks can actually attend and not have to use "vacation time" to do so. I thouht the 4A matchup really hurt #'s also.

Congratulations to NCC on a much deserved win. Wow, that was showing a lot of heart and desire to hang in, and come back like that. Hats off to the Ads as well on "another" fantastic season, just came up a little short.

Boyle Co. suffered through a very similar season this year and I feel your pain. However, I think both programs will bounce back in a big way next year.
