This is a copy of the final BGP Poll, this late in the season it should be pretty accurate but in this case it is not.

 

Class A Final Rankings

1. Beechwood Lost to #5 NCC

2. Bardstown lost to bethlehem a unranked team!

3. Frankfort Lost to #4 Danville

4. Danville Beat #3 Frankfort

5. Newport Central Catholic Beat #1 Beechwood

6. Mayfield Bet unranked team

7. Covington Holy Cross Lost in round #1 to #5 NCC

8. Somerset Beat unranked team

9. Pikeville Lost to unranked team

10. Lexington Christian Lost to a unranked team

 

These (POLLS) are opinions but I think we can do alot better than this, we only have 4 ranked teams left and the highest one is a #4

 

OR is this just a giant rash of upsets or os there that so much parity in this class this year that almost anyone can take it

This poll is so messed up. There is no way the remainder 8 teams can't be in the top 10. They are still in the playoffs for a reason. LCA lost to an unranked team i don't think so. Raceland was ranked in the top 10, whoever came up with this is crazy. You don't beat a top 10 oppenent and drop out of the top 10 yourself. It is a good thing the BGP polls don't count for the state rankings.

Austydak, this was the poll at the end of the yr, 2 weeks ago.

 

Look at the #4,5 and 6 teams. I think anyone who follows 1A football would agree that any one of these teams could be ranked #1 at any time during a season.

 

Danville was #1 for the first 8 weeks? Mayfield has been there numerous times in 1A/2A and NCC is the defending STATE CHAMPIONS.

 

All the so-called upsets this weekend I would not consider upsets just because of the district rankings. However, the Bethlehem/Bardstown game, IMO, is the biggest upset of the weekend.

Polls don't mean anything now. Danville aappears to be the favorite.
