Coach Hall is a good coach. He done a great job at Breathitt and was the favorite of Breathitt County until he had one bad year. He took the job at Jackson City after their two leading scorers from last years regional runner up team graduated. He has been in almost everygame this year and has a solid group of young kids coming up in his program. His largest problem is that right now he doesnt have a whole lot of depth. Give him a couple years and you will see how good a coach he his.

Several teams often go through a mid season slump. But now is the time that your team should be coming together as a unit. Hopefully Coach Lively can get them back on track before the district.

I dont know if I would say overachieving. But Breathitt County has surpassed many peoples expectations in the 14th.

LCC has a large gym and it is state of the art. It is quite a bit large than Powell County's. It is a great facility that will be a very good home for the 14th region tournament.

The way she can score, I figured she already had over 1000. Congrats to Burton.

Estill won an overtime thriller earlier this season at Estill. My big question is ,Whether all of Owsley's players are healthy. I agree Congelton is good athelete, but give McIntosh his due. He has been Owsley County's most consistent player all season.

Hazard in a close one.

It is always hard to go to Cordia and get a win. The lions protect the home floor well.

How I rate the 14th gyms: 1. Knott Central (great seats, no parking, no exit) 2. PCC 3. Breathitt County Notables MC Napiers old gym Dilce Combs old gym (no parking) Memorial Gymnasium at Hazard is not even close. No parking, you have to walk up mountain to get there, and the old musky air is not good on the allergies.

Owsley County played well in the first quarter. THe only problem was that there are 4 quarters. Poor defense and turnovers doomed the Owls and put a stop on a 6 game winning streak. The lady Owls have got to get it back together Thursday night at Estill.

Bad night shooting for the Owls and once again to many turnovers. You must give credit to Lee County for their defense which stopped Owsley.

Early in the season I thought it was between two teams. Hazard and JBS. Now with the way Breathitt is playing I will throw them in to the mix.

Where is all the Lee County People out there. I would like to hear their opinions on what happened in Campton.

Owsley County was outmanned tonight. Owsley led until the third quarter when their starters wore down. Not to mention Owlsey County was without both starting guards with injury. Good win for Buckhorn after a rough start to the season, they have turned things around.

Another good win for Coach Steve Banks team. Breathitt is definitley one of the top teams in the region.

Junior Foreward Kendra Combs scored 20 points to surpass the 1000 point mark in her career. Senior Center Jessica Murrell passed the 1000 point mark with 21 points in the lady Owls victory over Buckhorn. Congrats to Both Girls :dancingpa :dancingpa :dancingpa

Big district win for the Estill.

Owsley County Charlie Turner: Over 200 wins in 11 seasons, 2 regional runner up finishes, and 5 56th district titles. Followed By Tim Bobrowski 2 56th district titles, and 3 straight All A classic regional titles.

Great win for the Wolves. NO disrespect to Wolfe County, But what has happened to the Bobcats?????

The Lady Owls came out victorious in their first game since winning the Whitaker Bank Classic on December 23. When CJ Howard recieved the technical, that was what beat Jackson City. Owsley was down by 7 and after the foul and the technical Owsley cut the lead to 3 then got the ball and scored two to make a one point game from Howards technical. Jackson had this one but poor decision making cost them the game.

I'll take Powell by 10.
