  1. I am sure he is a great player. Hopefully, I will get to see them play this year. I am not familiar with M. C. team; but I do know (from various coaches that are) that it is first class.
  2. where is the 14th regional tour. played and how many people will it hold.
  3. i think you have a great point. however a freshmen is a freshmen. we have classifications for these in grade levels. i think every kid that can be stay back should. i wish i had. sports is just extra. may reason being for academics and social advancement.
  4. The only reponse i have to this is maybe the 14 yr old parents so not think ahead for the future enough for there kids. facts are facts. those that graduate high school at 18-19 are better prepared for college than those that graduateat 17. those that graduate college a few yrs older are better prepared and more mature for the work force than others. it is a level playing field in which you can stay back if you chose to so if you others dont want to take advantage of this rule then dont cry about those that do. sorry but this hit a sore spot. a freshmen is a freshmen. last time i checked that means he becomes a sophmore then a junior and then a senior. dont blame others because they take advantage of all the resources that are in front of them.
  5. to my understand there are 2 stepps on the team and they are brothers. The oldest one is a junior and the younger one is a freshmen. They are both great players and different type players
  6. I think shelby valley has a nice ballclub. i love the way they pass and play team ball. i think they are wellcoach but we all much be honest. i dont think there is no way they are a top 20 team in the state.
  7. I agree 100%. i think he is a great player but the think that is so amazing is the way he handles himself on the court. as i said before he plays with pose. i think the coaches across the state need to take a look at him and vote for him for the all state team this year. i think he is one of most unique players i have seen in a long time and has a world of potential. i know that tubby was there to watch him in lexington and i heard on IRA COMBS radio show that Tubby was impressed with these same issues. I dont know what his intentions are but I wish him the best. i also think there are other underclassmen in the 14th that have a world of potential. i like the stepp kid. i think he has got one of the prettiest shots i have seen. i also like the stamper kid at Knott. I think he will get better every game he plays. i think he will also be a special player.
  8. I have had the opportunity to watch JBS Twice this season and some last year. Tate Cox has to be one of the best freshmen in the state. i have been impressed with his pose and his ablility to use his body in the lane. i dont think there is any question he will play college basketball. i think the only thing to remain is where at. He has no emotions on the court. i like that. you dont know when he is upset or just content. wondering what everyone else thought.
  9. ] to post a response to the jackson city game. i was in the stands and if was i heard from the players mouth is correct then he should have had more than a technical throwed on him. i agree that a T late in the game is hard on a team but language like that should not be accepted anywhere. i use to officate years ago. it is not easy. what amazes me is there are so many out there that just go to the game to complain. let the officials do there jobs. believe me alot of nights these guys walk away losing money. forexample. from one end of the 14th region to the other(jenkins to estill co) is about 130 miles one way. you figure that is a official from letcher co goes this distance and gets payed for the ballgame how they can make any money with the travel time and getting in late. i think we need to look at both sides of the story.
