This must be a common trend for the Hazard pep section. I have seen them play a few times this year and the cursing of players and cheerleaders, seem to be present at all games. This is a classless act, when fans act the way that some of the Hazard fans do, it takes away from the enjoyment of the team and the players. "How embarrassing would it look for Hazard fans to be cursing other teams at the state tournament, that would make the 14th proud.":mad:

Glad to see that Breathitt has lost 2 games all year (although not the toughest schedule) and now Steve Banks cant coach. Sounds like last year when Coach Hall wasnt winning he went from the greatest to the worst in a single season. Watch out Coach Banks, if you hit three losses you will be in hot water.

After watching this game, I would have to remove JBS from the list of favorites in the 14th. They didnt not play well at all. SEveral missed three's and If your name isnt Stepp your only job was to set screens. JBS has one of tallest big men in the 14th in Collins, and the only time he touched the ball was off of a rebound. I was totally unimpressed with Buchanon. Good Luck to Hazard in the State.

Daniel is a great kid and a great basketball player. I havent seen him play since he left Owsley County, but I dont see him as a DI player. He doesnt have the size to play DI basketball. I am glad to see Daniel doing well though.

Estill vs Lee Owsley vs Powell At Owsley County

JBS better play team ball in the All A. The 14th region has some solid teams in the All A. With Hazard, Lee County (defending Champ), Knott Central, and Buckhorn a game of selfishness will lead to an early exit.

Looks like Lee County lost some momentum after some big wins this past week. Lee might have also been looking ahead to next week were they will begin the defense of their All A title.

The lady Owls fell to the Lady Bulldogs in the finals at Breathitt County. Hazard came out firing on all cylinders and jumped out to a 12 point lead and the Lady Owls never recovered. Owsley cut the lead to five a few times but after Halftime the Lady bulldogs were able to pull away. Once agian turnovers doomed the lady Owls. This sounds to me like a lose, lose situation. The problem is that this ordeal is affecting students. Politics or no politics, school personnel is there to protect and support students. It doesnt sound like, the students are even being thought of in this situation.

Owsley County was able to survive a major onset of three pointers by Buckhorn to advance to the Championship game of the 14th region All A classic agiants Hazard. In a game that seen several turnovers (20 by Owsley) and 8 three pointers by Buckhorn, the Lady Owls were able to pull it out in the final minutes of the game. Congrats to Buckhorn Coach Tim Wooten, he has his lady Wildcats playing well right now. Should be a good game. But after Jackson City's win over Allen Central I think they will ride the momentum and defeat Leslie.

In what started out as a defensive showdown in the first half with a half time score of Owsley County 16 and Jenkins 14, later turned to out to become Owsley County's 12 win of the season and propelled the Lady Owls into the semi finals of the 14th region All A classic at Breathitt County Friday night. Owsley County and Jenkins could not seem to get any offense going in the first half and both teams played a very aggressive ball game. After Halftime the Lady Owls were able to outscore Jenkins by 8 points in the 3rd quarter and the Lady Owls defense stepped it up and forced several turnovers that Owsley was able to score off of to finish with a hard fought 22 point win. Glad to see Buckhorn broke the district streak. It would kill alot of teams to play in a district with PCC and Hazard.

I look for Lee County to have a let down from the Powell game. I'll take KCC in a close one.

It is hard to beat a team 3 times in a season. But I think that Hazard will do just that. Give me Hazard by 8

The lady Bulldogs avenge a 14 point loss on January 8th to defeat Knott Central in the first round of the All A classic.

Owsley County got back on the winning track agianst rival Lee County in the first round of the All A classic. Owsley County never trailed in this game and their defense really stepped up. Ecspecially in the third quarter where the Lady Owls outscored their opponents 20 -4. Lee County was never able to get into any offensive rythym and committed several turnovers.
