The lady Owls got their 1 win of the season in impressive fashion. Owsley County shot the lights out of the gym tonight agianst a good Cordia team. Owsley Opened the game by only missing one shot in the first quarter. Led by senior Jessica Murrell the Owls were able to put on their best showing of the season and just in time for the tournament. I hate to hear news like this she was a very talented player that had a future in basketball. Hopefully she will get a full recovery.

I agree that PCC is the front runner and I would have to rank Powell on the same level as JBS for second place with Hazard and Breathitt close by.

Hazard is not playing as well as they were at the beginning of the season. I actually figured this game would have been more lopsided.

Good out of region showing for the Bobcats. When they are shooting well they can hold their own with anyone.

The lady Owls recorded their 15th win of the season by defeating JBS tonight in Booneville. JBS was able to control the tempo of the game through most of the first half and trailed the Lady Owls by only 12 at half time. The lady owls outscored JBS by 10 in the third quarter and never looked back. It wasnt the most fun game to watch but the Lady Owls was able to prevail Stats JBS C. Centers 10 points M. Estill is as good as Berryman and Christopher. If they are hitting Estill is a top team if they are cold, it doesnt look good for Estill.

If Owsley could cut their turnovers in half. They would be a top team in the region.

PCC is the best team in the 14th right now. But Powell is close behind. If PCC contains Romans they win big.

Jackson City Plays well, just needs to finish games.

Cant blame the big guy for wanting to leave. When you are 6'9 and you hardly ever touch the ball, I would look elsewhere.

Missed free throws doomed the Owls. But this was the best game that I have seen them play all year. They played hard until the final buzzer.

Big win for Buckhorn. If they get past PCC in the district they can cause problems for teams in the region.

Maybe we could get the KHSAA to mandate this idea.

Sure you would, this would allow you to see what they will do when you hold the ball, therefore you will know what adjustments to make.

For Hazard's sake lets hope they get over the let down. This is not the time of the year to start having a letdown. It is the time of year to surge.

Looks like Breathitt got another quality win by defeating a good Lee County team. Breathitt in my opinion is the suprise team of the 14th and Lee County is one of my biggest disapointments. During the Pre Season I thought Lee County would be one of the top 3 teams in the region.

Al Holland has PCC peaking at the right time. With JBS being a streak team, Hazard not playing the greatest, and several other teams close together. PCC may be the favorite in the 14th.

The loss of Campbell is a big one. But yu have to give credit to Powell they are playing extremely well and are senior led. That expirence will help in the next few weeks.
