Naming Gyms

Featured Replies

I thought we could have a little fun with this thread. What would be the names you would give the gyms in your area. You can use the name they already use or a original one that you like.

Here goes:

Augusta: The Den

Brossart: The Stable

Bracken Co.: The Igloo or The Ice Palace

Campbell Co.: The Desert

Clark Co.: The Nest

Deming.: The Devils Dome or The Pit

Harrison Co.: The Race Track (I know they sometimes call it the stable but since they are the Throughbreds I tought The Race Track would be proper).

Mason Co.: The Royal Palace

Montgomery Co.: The Teepee

Nicholas Co.: The Hive

Paris: The Dog House

Pendleton Co.: The Cat House

Silver Grove: The Depot

St. Pat: The Clover Colosium (sp)

What are some other?

Shelby Co. or Rockcastle Co. = The Launch Pad

Apollo - The Eagles Nest aka Rex Arena

New Gym at Montgomery = Rison Center - IMO really needs to be considered

Greenup Co.

It should remain "The Greenhouse," but lets hope there comes a day when they at least give Ward his just due as he didn't get to leave on his own terms. Naming the court after him would be the least they could do.

Ashland - (Although it doesn't have an arching roof) The Dickie Dome, Buddy's

Playhouse

Boyd Co. - The Big House, the Penitentiary

Raceland - The Depot, The Palace

Russell - The Furnace, Heck on the Hill

Elliott Co.- The Dean's Den:lol::ylsuper:
