North Oldham puts together 4 good quarters to handle cross town rival South. The Mustangs were up 14-0 at half, and added two scores and a FG in the 2nd half. The defense was outstanding, along with an efficient offense and a sound kicking game.

Some places are easier to win titles at than others. Give me a coach that took a poor program and turned it around. Chuck Smith, Hilton, Holcomb, A coach that stays at Highlands, T, X, Danville, is going to get one.

Happy for them- they work hard a deserve some success. This team easily could have been 4-0 right now.

North Oldham bounced back from 2 loses to beat a game Raider team. Mustangs are coming into their own. 419 yards rushing and 109 passing for the Mustangs. Raiders ran the ball well but the Mustangs gathered spirit in the red zone and held Trimble to only a late kick return in the 4th quater. Good to see the guys getting better, with 12 guys not dressed for the game due to injury, sickness, and academic shortfalls! Mustangs were able to overcome all this vs a good Raider team.

Not according to the Cats Pause Preview- they picked Hills, Spencer, North, and then Henry. North Oldham was the only District Champion in 3A to not be picked first or second. So I guess, after winning 18 games the past two seasons the Mustangs still have little respect.

Oh Govenor- Here you go again! You are correct and incorrect. We can pick coaches and we can not pick players, but we have gone from 29 players in 06 to 79 players in 09. I am a little fuzzy in math, but that is a lot more to chose from. I agree with Football Addict that this will be a tough district again. For your 2nd point, Irv Hoffman and Rick Young are great hires. Both have about 15 years of defensive coordinating expereince and about 45 years altogether. They will add to an already solid staff and are solid people as well. WIN/WIN
