Grudge match in Goshen, KY Friday night. North against the South. Both teams got back on the winning track last week as North beat Trimble and South edged Waggener in OT.

5A South's defense is much improved, and the Dragons had just one turnover last week - but a lot of costly penalties. Getting rid of that 19 game losing streak will give the Dragons a boost.

3A North has been up-and-down in four games, but seemed to put the offensive pieces all together against the Raiders.

The all-time series is tied at 2; North has won the last two games, including an 8 point victory in Crestwood last season.

Who wins?? This could be a very tight game. Can we get a poll??

(And NO, I'm not going to touch this one with a ten foot poll as I cover both teams...)

North Oldham will win this game without much of a challenge. South got a win last week against a weak Waggener team. North has been up and down but is now steadying themselves for a district run. North by three scores.

North by 21.

North 21-0

The South will rise again Friday night with a 17-10 victory over the Union....

Figured the Civil War angle would eventually make an appearance...

Keys for both schools...

North must show they have an answer for the quickness of South RB Michael Gray...speed killed them vs. Jtown and almost got them vs. Moore.

South must show they can stop making so many mistakes. Even against Waggener last week, two blocked PATs, and two TDs called back by penalty nearly cost them the game.

South Oldham 21-14.

I'm still not going to make a final score prediction...or predict who will win...but I have a feeling this will be a very close ballgame. Either team by 3 scores seems a bit far-fetched to me...

North won last year's game by just 8 points and the Mustangs were definitely better at that point of last season than they are at this point of this season...South, meanwhile, has shown dramatic defensive imrprovement...

Throw in the fact that this is a big rivalry game...

I'm thinking the margin of victory is less than a TD...

Best wishes to both the Mustangs and the Dragons for a great game!!!!:thumb:

South is always a challenge since it is a rival game

I think it is to close to call. North Should beat South, But just like in previous years, South has athletes and can compete.

I hope to be wrong but I'll go NO 14 SO 7.

Knute wins this game.
