  1. Johnny Poynter is a tremendous coach and an outstanding person. If he gets the backing he needs; he will do great things at Bourbon Co again!. I hate to see him leave the area but I know he wants to be closer to home. Thank goodness for cell phones. Best of luck coach and buy plenty of kicking blocks.
  2. Oh ok- they would get mauled by W-Hills, E-town,North Oldham, or Central. Union would also not have beaten those other 3a teams listed above. The West is pretty weak in general, other than Fort Campbell.
  3. Bone came out of the skin- missed his last game of Senior year. I know he was heartbroke. He had a great year 40/41 on Xpt 5-6 on FG with two over 40 yds. 47 yarder was a school record.
  4. Great season several of those guys can play on Saturdays not a D1 level bus somewhere. Fisher, Lowrey, Gooch, Geers, Alward, Strapp,Tuller, Maddox,Althoff could all help somewhere.
  5. Consistent but still lacking major talent. Program has had 1 player go on to play college ball(Ryan Gallas Centre) they need to find more speed and athletes to match up with skill players of Central and E-town. Line play has been as good as anyone, kids are strong. Just limited on making big plays. North will miss 13 Seniors from this years team. They were really special and will be the first to tell you they did it with heart, strength and determination more so than god given talent. As a big fan of North, I was really proud of what they accomplished this year, and very easliy could still be undefeated and playing Central this week.
  6. Was a great year- although I was a little disappointed with the crowd, school play and band compettition was held on same night as a football game. Not smart for $ and school spirit. Maybe people at NO are not used to playing playoff games and all the alumni are Seniors in college. Maybe this season will help wake the school and community up and rally the whole city of Goshen behind the school.
  7. Depends if Gohman and Qb are 100%- Gohman looked like a serious shoulder injury and Qb was running about 50% with bum ankle, Speed coming at him he needs to move this week. If they can get healty they have a chance, but to be honest they should have won the first game.
  8. Both teams were solid, bottom line it came down to turnovers. NO 4 resulted in 4 TD's - E-town 2 resulted in 2 Td's special teams scored one each, difference 14pts and 2 turnovers! I was impressed with the athletes of E-town but I think the best football player(Not Athlete) on the field was #30 Andrew Tuller. He held Gohman to about 3 catches, and had about 266 all-purpose yards for NO. The Qb for E-town also showed some real heart, NO pounded him and he kept on coming back, curious to see if he and Gohman are able to play next week. #6 North VS #7 E-town lived up to the hype, it was a great game. Those Seniors for NO should be proud they worked really hard to put this program another step forward that the 8-4 07 team had set. E-town and Central should be a good one if Gohman is able to play.
  9. Come on Super B how about some love from Carroll Co?
  10. North beat CAL also Colonel. I believe they finished (6-5). That was the last game on the old field if I remember correctly.
  11. Welcome to Bluegrass Preps MrFish500. E-town is very good but I think they are overlooking those Wild Stangs from Goshen.
  12. It is the battle of the boxer vs the puncher. Should be real interesting.
  13. The other 10 teams said that as well. As always we will do our best.
  14. Central without their forfeit win would be 5-5. I say we keep them out! Sounds great to me.
