Bourbon 2-1 after a tough loss to Mason County Vs. Holmes 3-0 who do you think will come away with a victory?

This will let everyone know how Bourbon Co and Holmes is. I look for a good matchup. How good is Holmes this year? I haven't heard alot about them.

Colonels exposed v. Mason Co. for their lack of team speed. The Barnes kid ran the ball extremely hard, but the Colonels have no balance offensively and were not able to control the ball in order to keep the Royals off the field. So if Holmes can throw the football effectively and keep the Colonels ground game under wraps, looks like a tough game for the Colonels. If the Colonels can keep the ball 28-30 min., eliminate penalities and turnovers they can have a chance, otherwise look for long night.

Colonels have work to do. We fell into the old trap against Mason. We collectively shut down after one touchdown. From there we played like we were scared. Frustrating to see but can be overcome. Composure and desire is what the colonels need to be successful. Colonels never claimed to have alot of speed. We do have skill across the field, we are young. Can we compete, YES. With Holmes it is hard to say, haven't seen alot of tape on them. Colonels need to have faith in themselves as much as there fans do.

We are behind them 100%. All I can say let's regroup, lick our wounds and beat Holmes!!!!!!!:thumb:

Yes the Colonels are young and they are learning how to win. Congrats to the players and coaches of the frosh and JV teams as they both won last night against Montgomery. I think both teams are 2 and 0 and the Jv has not been scored on. Keep working and listening to your coaches guys and you can build a PROGRAM.

Who has Holmes beat this year?

Llyod, Cooper, and Bellvue

:thumb: This should be a close battle.

This should be a good game. Holmes has to travel, which will favor Bourbon Co. The weather may also play a part. If it stays dry it is to Holmes' advantage. I don't think Bourbon has seen the speed that they will see Friday against Holmes. Holmes is very small and quick. I will take the dogs 28-21.

I'll take the Dawgs by a score of 28-12. This was the score the last time that these two hooked up in the post season of 2000....

Absolutely. Congrats to Freshman and JV.

Holmes 34-26.

Just an update that this game has now been included in the NKY regional contest, replacing the cancelled Brossart-Elizabethtown game. If you have already entered your picks in the contest, you will need to go back to the contest thread and update your picks to include this game.
