A lot of teams don't get the guys they've been going after for a long time. So when they don't get him then that opens up scholarship opportunities for many other players.

Ashland has been rolling, but Elliot is a very good team! Even though Ashland hasn't had a road game in a while I think they will pull out a hard fought win. 65-61 Ashland wins.

Ashland did have a very sloppy 3rd Quarter and came out very flat after a big halftime lead. But picked it back up and finished off a not bad Raceland team.

That's exactly what KCU needs to do, get the local talent to come in and get a great head start to their program. Getting Scott Grizzle, J.T. Forrest, Aaron Root, Josh Wills, Derrick Beech, Blake Johnson, Howard, Hubbard, and a few Ashland boys that I've heard are interested would be a HUGE BOOST. These are just a few of the names I've heard are interested in KCU, and I heard the former UK O lineman Aaron Miller is going to play football there too.

Nick is a major talent, but is undersized for D1. This is the reason Georgetown College and Mount Union have such good teams because they go after these kids who are too small, too slow, not strong enough to play D1. But they have the ability, drive, work ethic and heart to go out and compete with anybody.

I'm an Ashland fan, and I know that we're on a roll right now and the entire community is getting involved and interested in basketball right now. But I seriously don't think there is a person in the city of Ashland who can guard Preston Knowles. We may have a chance if Marty Thomas comes in, or we bring back a Cook boy or Arlo but without them....maybe Matt Thomas but we'll see tomorrow. GRC 74 Ashland 59

Personally I like cleans, it builds your hips and just the motion works on explosion at the hips and legs which transfers to tackling or running on the football field.

I don't think Raceland is a top team year in year out, the only team I can think of who holds that honor is really Boyd County. Raceland does have a pretty competitive team most of the time. Top teams IMO are.... 1. Boyd County 2. Raceland 3. Ashland 4. East Carter 5. Russell

I'm not a big fan of running when I do it. But back when I played sports it wasn't fun but it sure helped. When you are better conditioned then the team across from you, then you hold a huge advantage! You can keep going 100% in the 4th quarter or Overtime. As a punishment, I love it. Not only does it teach you a lesson but it helps you being able to shoot and play when you're tired.

It's great to hear about all these EKY kids getting a chance to play football and continue their education.

That would be huge for a brand new program. Especially with some of the kids they've already got coming in.

I love it when the kids go to in-state schools. Makes it easier for me to follow their career and get the chance to see them more often.

Ashland has put it all together, I just hope they continue to improve every game on their way to the tournaments. I don't know much about East Carter, so I won't predict a score.

From what I hear Ashland is working on some new original stuff that will be unveiled at each home game.

He did put up some big #'s against Ashland in the playoffs a few years ago, I was really impressed with the QB. Especially how young he was and how he had a great concept of the offense. But despite those big #'s he also threw 4 interceptions with 2 returned for touchdowns.

A few people I haven't heard much of are Kyle Carter-Lawrence Co, Drew Mcdavid, Fields Davis, Luke Bonner, Michael Walters, Josh Cordle-Ashland, Joey White, Josh Bryant-Boyd Co, and I'm not sure of names at Mason but I know a few are getting looks and maybe Cheif Smoke can help us out there.

The main thing is going on visits and seeing what school suits you the best.

Rather have too many police than too few.

Since you are from Raceland, do you have any info on some of the Raceland boys and where they are looking?
