Ashland 72 Raceland 48

Featured Replies

Solid win for the Tomcats who led by as much as 30 in the 3rd quarter. All 5 starters in double figures, Ashland shoots 72% in the first half and 54% for the game.

I listened to some of the 2nd half, and it sounded like Ashland got pretty sloppy and complacent in the 2nd half. It's still an impressive win over a pretty good Raceland team. I think Coach Biggs has the Tomcats poised for a run at the championship game in Morehead next month.

Congratulations to the Tomcats on the win. They continue to play well.

Raceland did make a run and cut it to 16 at one point.

This one went about the way I figured it would. Ashland is just a better basketball team than Raceland, plain and simple. They were at home and are playing well right now. Congrats to the Tomcats on the win.

I didn't even get to listen to the game on the internet. I hope the game was played cleanly, and none of the kids got "knicked or dinged up". Anyone got any stats?

I have to say that I really appreciate the Raceland fans. You guys are always a class act. I watched you during the football season, and when you were knocked out of the playoffs, you were the first ones online, congratulating the opponents.

Ashland did have a very sloppy 3rd Quarter and came out very flat after a big halftime lead. But picked it back up and finished off a not bad Raceland team.

Thank You Frances. I along with other Raceland fans feel the same way about the Ashland faithful as well. Our two schools have a lot of ties to each other in sports, personel, fans and other areas as well. Like I have said before, I am a Ramblercat. :thumb: I would say TomRambler but I have to give Raceland top billing. :D

Thanks Frances!!:thumb: The Raceland folks appreciate your positive support. It is not any fun when you lose but we have to give credit to the opponent when we do.

I can't wait until August to get back into Putnam Stadium to see some great Tomcat friends once again.

We look forward to having you back, Cville. This time, however, if you don't mind, leave the win with us. :D

:thumb: Sorry, I can't grant you your last wish, there's just some things a Genie won't do!!

It's the only game all season that I root against the Tomcats.

:thumb: Sorry,

It's the only game all season that I root against the Tomcats.

It was hard for a good Raceland team to compete with an Ashland team that was shooting over 70% in the first half. I was very impressed with this Ashland team.
