Very true. If they do request a re-kick I would not try an onside kick. But that's me. The Raceland Coach knows a whole lot more about football than I do.. He made the call and I respect his play calling ability. A game like this just might help Raceland more than it will hurt. No wants to loose like that. The Rams will recover and be better.

I agree. A team needs to be good in their own district to get into the playoffs. In some cases a team that is 0-10 gets into the playoffs. That is wrong..

Russell learned their lesson with Fleming. Conley or not.

You saw what happened to Russell when they played Fleming County. Anyone who gives Lewis County no chance needs to wake up.

I think anything is possible Laurence County almost knocked of Belfry. You just never know. Fleming County beat Russell in a game where no one picked them. They played a perfect game and Russell could not respond in the mud. I although don't think that Boyle County will be beat. But you never know.

I think this is why you are questioned by people. This may be the reason at Russell football games the PA announcer says: "Please stand for the National Anthem, remove your hats and place your right hand over your heart". I feel very strongly about this for me and my family. Some fans don't even stop walking and face the flag. It's just not important to them. I personally would never say anything to them. It's none of my business what they do.

(b) Conduct During Playing.— During a rendition of the national anthem— (1) when the flag is displayed— (A) individuals in uniform should give the military salute at the first note of the anthem and maintain that position until the last note; (B) members of the Armed Forces and veterans who are present but not in uniform may render the military salute in the manner provided for individuals in uniform; and © all other persons present should face the flag and stand at attention with their right hand over the heart, and men not in uniform, if applicable, should remove their headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart; and (2) when the flag is not displayed, all present should face toward the music and act in the same manner they would if the flag were displayed.

I have always wanted to see both teams on the field for the National Anthem. I'm not sure why we don't do it and some may think it is not important. I for one feel that it is important. Why should the players be left out while everyone else in the stadium pays tribute to this wonderful country we live in. I would see no problem with once both teams come out onto the field have them line up on the sideline take their helmets off put their right hands over their heart. Play the anthem and then play some football. I realize that some may think differently.

In 2003 or 2004 Russell played Estill County at Estill. In less than 3 minutes at the beginning of the game Russell scored 35 points. I'm fairly sure that Josh Gross scored 4 of those TD's but I could be wrong. I have never seen anything like it before nor have I heard of anything like it happening.

Fleming sure can play football in the mud. I sure hope the field is dry.
