I don't think Russell punted once. I have no idea how long it's been since Russell scored this many points or won by this type of margin. The running clock rule was created for games like this.

Russell was subbing early. The last couple of scores were by the freshman team. The last score was mostly by freshman backups. Could they have taken a knee on the last drive? Sure. I think I would've, but Coach said in the post game interview that he wants his young kids to get as many reps as possible.

 

74 is a bit much, though.

I was only half way paying attention, but I think I heard that Lewis Co. had -42 yards rushing and 35 yards of total offense.

Russell had no reason to call a timeout after the turnover with under a minute left in the first half to score again. You'd think 48-6 would be sufficient for a half time score but I guess 55-6 gave Maynard the cushion he wanted.

Coach Ivan McGlone would have never let this happen to a team like Lewis Co. He was a class act.

We may have scored more points today but here are a couple lopsided scores in McGlone's reign

As long as Russell was running their offense while playing back ups, I see nothing wrong with allowing the backs up to actually play. No disrespect to Lewis but if you do not want beat like this stop them from scoring.

Exactly, it's your job to stop me from scoring not mine.

When you are playing Your JV backups and your Freshman team I see no problem with allowing the kids to play hard and score.
