Anyone know if there have been some plans made public about where each team might play in the new alignment?

I'm a little confused with the assessment that estill appeared over confident "strutting their stuff" or the idea that Estill had the "big head" because they came from the 10th region to the "more inferior" 14th region. I think they had great respect for the new region but felt they had chance to win. It seems to me one team had a player make plays in the stretch and that was JBS. Estill came to play and keep in mind it was a Monday night 2hrs and 15 minutes from home in a town they had never seen and gym that was COMPLETELY new to them. Estill has traditonally had a great following when they are winning and had they made it to Friday night, the train whistle would have been very impressive. JBS lost 5 games all year. Bottom line: both teams played the triangle and 2 for the entire 2nd half. That forced the 'role" players into a bigger role. Number 3 sank 4 threes in that stretch. Game OVer

Has Elliot ever been to the state tourney?

One interesting bit of information: Estill County has NEVER been to the state tournament while only making ONE trip to the finals. That was in 1955 while still a member of the 11th region as they were until 1977. This is probably the best oppurtunity they have ever had.

what did montgomery play on defense? Rison likes to ply some zone to slow the gamedown. How was he able to slow them down that much?

I noticed Knott played neither JBS or Cordia. Why would that be? That would seemingly be 2 great games within a few miles

Does anyone know where coach lively came from and how long he has been coaching? I would think he is a candidate for a big school job. Is he from Jackson City?

it is my understanding that even Estill Co is right on the bubble. I believe they have 455 students in 10-12.

I must say ,roundleather, even Einstein himself would have a hard time analyzing this loss for Jackson. Give Estill credit, they hit shots from everywhere and simply refused to quit. They have a fantastic group of freshmen 2 of whom sparked the comeback. Jackson seemed as though they simply could not slow down, almost as if they could not control themselves. They continued to shoot and miss 3's and also missed several free throws. For 3 quarters, I was as impressed with this team as any I have seen in the 14th region by far. Their quickness and agressiveness was outstanding.

Estill played horrible for 3 quarters down 20 points to start the 4th quarter but came storming behind the play of 2 freshmen and some other reserves. Estill outscored Jackson 37-12 in the 4th.

Why is it fair that we still play single class basketball? I love the draw. At least teams like Model and Berea have a chance to advance to the region and pick up that 1/8 split of the money. I don't think people realize that in a single class system a small school will continue to get beat beacuse the bigger schools are advancing and utlimately making more money. More money to put back in the program.

Esill may have the best team that knowbody knows about. Clinton Dixon and Cody Berryman are 2 of the best players in the region and soph. point guard Blake Christopher is improving every game. They seem to be playing their best ball down the stretch
