I've been told it will be at the Expo Center for sure........I would think the draw would be held there since usually the host has the draw.

I also think the girls will play there as well and should make it a week long event,March 6th thru the 11th. I will double check that and give you a shout.

I've been told that it was going to be Pike Co. Central's year to host it so if there is a offical host they may be it.

I will try get all the info I can and pass it along.......

The 15th Region tourney IS going to be at the Expo Center, however, the 57th District will serve as the host district instead of just one school as the host.

Ive caught both Pikeville College games at the Expo Center and it is a fabulous place to watch/play basketball. Having the tournament there should be a privlege to all eight teams who make it.

That should be a nice treat for the teams that make it!

Pretty nice place to host basketball, two very large big screen scoreboards on one end (much like the two in Rupp) and another longer stadium type scoreboard/screen on the other end. Should be one of the finest places a regional tournament will be held this year. Here is a link to a pic of the expo center set up for basketball, not the best, but gives you the gist.

Has any high school games been played in the arena yet? Will any high school team play in it prior to the tourney?

no and no ......

Should be a good place for the players and fans and also NEUTRAL to all teams involved!! This is a win-win situation for all!

Make sure to bring plenty of cash if you plan on feeding your family at the game. It is a great venue for the tournament but ultimately the fans will pay dearly for watching the regional tournament.

I've been told it holds 7500 for hoops........The complete 15th tourney will be at the expo center. It has been 3 yrs. since they played the first round at the dist. winners.
