  1. Thanks dr1.....Hope to get there in time today to get mine if not I'll have to get to the game early and get them.
  2. Congrats to Coach Redman and the team for such a great accomplishment!!! Thanks Dawgs for repsenting the Ville and the Bluegrass in such a great way. GO DAWGS!!!
  3. RockPride, What time does Trinity sells it tickets at their school? I live in St. Matthews and thought about going there and buying my tickets early.
  4. Hey anyone know if ICN-2 will be airing this on tape delay Saturday, like they did with the Male-X game? I think this could be one of those games that needs to be taped and watched over and over again as was the 2002 State Final game.
  5. This game should decide who wins state this year. Should be a great game between two great teams. Do you think Coach Beatty goes back and looks at the game tape of the 2002 State Championship game, and looks at how they burned Male's defense with their passing game? Do you think Coach Redman will make any adjustments with Trinity's stellar offense? This game could be just as good as the 2002 matchup. Just a shame its not being played on the first saturday in December.
  6. QB: Tim Couch (Lesile Co.) QB: Brian Brohm (Trinity) RB: Shaun Alexander (Boone Co.) RB: Eric Shelton (Bryan Station) WR: Mike Bush (Male) WR: Montrell Jones (Male) TE: Derek Smith (Highlands) K: Karl Heinz-Williams (Trinity) DEF: Male 2000 Man that was tough. There are so many people I could choose. If you couldnt tell I chose most guys I have seen in person.
  7. If the question is best athlete?? Then Douglas Beaumont has to be mentioned. Now he might not be the best basketball player but is one heck of an athlete.
  8. Good win for the Dawgs!!! They needed a eye opener to get them focused on winning State. How did Beaumont do?
  9. Can't agree with you more. Douglas Beaumont is by far the best player in the state. I don't his stats for the year but I would love to know how many TD's he has scored total this year? It seems like he scores 2-3 a game. The thing I love about him is how he gives 100% every play. The only time I noticed him on the sideline was when Male would kick the extrapoint. He would run over grab a drink of water, dry his hands off and head right back out there. I also agree that Joshua Williams is underrated, but playing next to Beaumont will do that. Dont know what his stats were tonight? But I know that he is capable of going the distance any time he touches the ball. Would love it if a local school (cough-cough UL) would look at him for college.
  10. Dont know final stats but I know at halftime he had 3 TD's (1 rushing, 1 reception, and 1 kickoff return)
  11. Good win for the Rocks. Trinity fans or anyone who knows.... What schools are looking at Nick Petrino??? I'm a big UofL fan, and would love to see him play college ball. Just curious what schools are looking at him? Thanks.
  12. I'll be attending my first Male game of the year, and my 10th consecutive Male/Manual game. Knowing I'll be in the stands will pump the Dawgs up and they will crush Manual!!! In all honesty, good luck to the Manual football team friday night. This rivalry is one of the best around, and is a big game for both teams this year. My prediction is Male 45-Manual 17. GO DAWGS!!!!
  13. It's not that far. Its only about 3 hours, if you dont stop. I'm going up there to see a friend ( another Male grad) who goes to Ball State. It's there homecoming game against West. Michigan.....which in my mind Male and X may be able to beat both teams. Thought about going up Saturday morning but we plan on tailgating at about 9 a.m., so friday night it is. H, What year did you graduate from "The Dear Old High School"??
  14. Thanks for the info. For some reason I thought it was 1570 but I knew that didn't sound right. The good thing I will be leaving Oldham Co. at 8 so I will hear about an hour of it before I hit Indiana. Does anyone know if WHAS radio gives updates on high school football games?
  15. I have to travel Friday night up to Muncie, Ind., so will not be able to go to the game. I know St.X has a radio station that covers every game. What station is it and how well is it received? I will be leaving Louisville around 8 p.m. so I figure I should catch most of it, but was just wondering once I hit Indiana if I will lose reception. Thanks. Good luck to the Tigers and GO DAWGS!!!!
  16. Welcome to The Ville Zach!!!! I think I speak for all UofL fans in saying we are excited to see you wear the Red and Black next year, and hope you are prepared to win some championships. Good luck the rest of the year at NCC.
  17. WOW!!! I love to hear this but never expected it. GO DAWGS!!!!
  18. This might be a little bit off topic, but I hope someone can answer this for me. I'm a Male grad and was a student during the Ahrens-Jones-Bush days a few years back, and I try to keep up with Male football as much as I can but dont know to much about this years team other than Beaumont, Heyman, and Webb. Can anyone tell me what other weapons Coach Redman has this year? Who is their QB? Does he compare to any of the QB's of past (Anderson, Blackerby, Ahrens)? What young talent does he have, that will contribute in the next few years? I hope to get back on track with the team. so I can join in on these discussions cause right now I would probably sound like an idiot not knowing anything. Thanks guys.
  19. The 2000 State Champion Male High team had: Montrell Jones (Tenn./UL) Mike Bush (UL) Marcus Green (Ohio St.) Matt Sanders (UL) Casey Shumate (UK) Todd Flannery (UL) Sergio Spencer (UL) Chris Barclay (Wake Forrest) Stephen Garr (UL) Cory Farris (Murray St.)
  20. I know I'm a Male High guy but we didnt have these jerseys when I was there. But Male jerseys that are the same style as Miami's are nice, especially when they go all Purple. Some of my favs. that arent Male are: Trinity St.X Collerain, OH (old school Louisville helmets)
