Beaumont stats?

Dont know final stats but I know at halftime he had 3 TD's (1 rushing, 1 reception, and 1 kickoff return)

I said it after the New Albany game and will say it again... Doug Beaumont is the best football player in the state all around and he deserves Mr. Football!

 

I also felt, and still feel, that Williams the WR is the most underrated player in the state.

Beaumont had a 99 yard kickoff return for a touchdown. He ran the kick back right after Manual scored to make it 21-7. That really took the wind out of the Crimsons' sails.

 

In terms of making plays the whole game and playing hard on every snap, I can't imagine anyone better than Beaumont for Mr. Football.

Can't agree with you more. Douglas Beaumont is by far the best player in the state. I don't his stats for the year but I would love to know how many TD's he has scored total this year? It seems like he scores 2-3 a game. The thing I love about him is how he gives 100% every play. The only time I noticed him on the sideline was when Male would kick the extrapoint. He would run over grab a drink of water, dry his hands off and head right back out there.

 

I also agree that Joshua Williams is underrated, but playing next to Beaumont will do that. Dont know what his stats were tonight? But I know that he is capable of going the distance any time he touches the ball. Would love it if a local school (cough-cough UL) would look at him for college.

Whats really nice these Senior kids Josh, Douglas, Corey Gainy, Corey Reynolds, Sam Webb and others are really nice, well liked guys. We saw them as freshmen coming in and everyone associated with Male knew they real special. They never lost as Freshmen, Sophomores, or as Seniors. No matter what happens in the future its been a pleasure. And we are fond of #67 our son. A few words about Manual...Boy did they play hard. The QB is a good one and I might give Coach Shula a call in a couple of years. # 8,5, 86 great hearts. We knew it would be a struggle check out the stats and see how close it was. A very good and well coached team, Good Luck in the playoffs to them.

I don't have a stat book with me but Beaumont had 49 yards rushing and another 70+ receiving, and over 100 in return yardage.

He misthrew a few balls, there is no mistake about that, however there were a great deal of open recievers who simply didn't make the catch. The game clearly could have been closer had Manual just connected on a few of those.

I don't know if it was pressure or just timing being off, we threw a lot of long balls and they were close to being caught many times but the receivers were trudging through mud and slop not running on grass so they couldn't get to the ball. We had open guys behind Male's defense all night, we just couldn't connect for many reasons especially field conditions.
