Trinity 51 Fern Creek 23

Featured Replies

Trinity QB Nick Petrino had 308 yards passing, and 5 first half TD's through the air. The Fern Creek QB, who I think is a freshman, passsed the ball all night and showed a lot of courage. (Fern Creek threw 55 passes.) He is going to be a tremendous passer. (He is darn good right now.) T lost 3 fumbles in the first half. Soph RB Tim Phillips returned and saw limited but effective action. He is a large part of T's offense and could eventually be the best RB ever to play for T if he develops as I think he will.

BTW, I understand that T's frosh defeated LexCath in heavy rain in Lexington on Thursday 3-0 in OT.

Awesome second quarter.... 37 Rock points! Nice to see Superman back. Still the injury bug continues to nibble...... Congrats to all seniors on their night.

Told you so.

Good win for the Rocks.

Trinity fans or anyone who knows....

What schools are looking at Nick Petrino??? I'm a big UofL fan, and would love to see him play college ball. Just curious what schools are looking at him? Thanks.

You really think he has a shot at a D-I school?

1 AA

Petrino is small. I know they have him listed at 5'9 but I think that is a stretch.

He stood pretty tall tossing all those TD passes Friday night, but maybe you were too busy to watch the game. He will do just fine at the next level (I'm guessing 1AA). He performed pretty well on a pretty big stage back December as well. FYI, Nick weighs over 190#. He may not be tall but he isn't small.
