Congrats to the Bulldogs winning this game and their own Bulldog Classic under what has been a rough few days for the community around Louisa with the loss of two LC juniors killed in a Auto accident on Wednesday afternoon.

Why I love High School Football? Well just because it is "HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL". Friday nights seeing old friends, classmates, your doctor, your dentist, your pharmacist, the cashier from the grocery store and of course your family at the games. Then having them cheer when your team scores, forces a turnover, makes a good hit or just giving their all on the field and leaving it there. And one thing I love to hear especially at Lawrence County is the sound of the cleats walking on the pavement from the Locker room to field then having the team run through the Dawg House and the tunnel of fans onto the field. Gosh! I am 42 and I am ready to hit someone right now.

I expect numbers to be up next season just like Fan said. Offense: O-Line needs to improve and get stronger in the off season. But one thing on offense that they need to do more than anything is "Hold onto the Ball". Fumbles killed several drives last year when several games was still in balance. Defense: I think LBs will be OK they just need some help on the line and need to work on the DB also. But the main thing the defense needs the most help at is back to the offense, score points and don't turn it over. The defense played tough for a half but after being on the field so much they wore down. Special Teams: Actually this is something LC has never really had, so any improvement would show. Heart: LC needs to rekindled some of that passion that had LC at the top during the 90's Support: Fans have been patient but only those who are diehard fans. Fairweather fans left when the team suffered a few losses. All fans need to show that they believe in these young men and trust me you will see good things. Coaching: Finally Goldsmith and his very small coaching staff get some help, that can only translate to a positive.

Mayo didn't show up late he stayed in the locker getting his ankle taped which he had injured 2 games before the DeMatha game. He even sat out the game before. I think he was referring to OJ's slow start on the floor, he didn't have a very good first half then scored something like 20 some points in the second half.

Big win for OJ Mayo and company over national power DeMatha. Mayo had 27.

I was the best until I moved to Ohio. I covered games for Lawrence County Bulldogs. I do miss the excitement and I miss talking to Dickie Martin when we played Ashland.

Glad to see them get some teams from the Cleveland area involved. Glenville, McKinley, Massillion and St. Edward all should make a serious run at the State Championship.

Stick1, Congrats to you and your family. I know LC players are going to be excited to have you back at LC with a bigger role. On a sidenote, I remember watch stick1 play football at LC, I called alot of games on the radio he was involved in and you will not find another person who loves the game of football as much as he does. I am not going to argue with you about something you have no clue about. Fred Dean came to Chuke right after LC started practicing. He was playing Tennis at the courts next to the field. I was standing right there when he walked up. Emory came for personal reasons like I said before that will not be discussed, I know this cause my now ex-wife then girlfriend went to school with Emory and was very close to him. Hoss's family never tried to hide the fact that they lived in Fort Gay so what is your point? He never went to Tolsia High School. Nick also never attended Tolsia and came to LC during his 8th grade year. End of discussion and if a mod would like they can close this thread. Now for the real story of this Thread, LC will be back next year and from what I hear next year will be only the beginning for alot of success. Good luck to LC coaching staff and players next year. That is the end of my story and I am 'STICK'ing to it.

Hoss was from Fort Gay, but never went to school over there at all. His dad was an Lawrence County alumnus and his family has a business in Louisa. Meadows came to Lawrence County after his 8th grade year, never played for Tolsia. Fred Dean played for Tolsia, but did not make the team his junior year at Tolsia so he transferred to Lawrence County. Emory Thompson came to Lawrence County for reasons that were personal and should never be discussed on this or any forum. I know for a FACT that these players were not recruited. I was personally there when these players came to LC and all were a great asset to the program, but they came cause they wanted too not because they were asked. Fan or stick1 needs to PM me about who you have heard is coming there.:thumb:

I recall only one year where the score got out of hand in the first half and Chuke played the starters one series in the second half. I do remember one year Tolsia was up big at half and LC came back and won the game late in the 4th quarter. It was only game I can remember where there was more people coming to the game during the 3rd quarter because of listening to the game on the radio, there was probably close to 1000 more people at the end of the game than there was at the start of the second half.

I know LC will be fine for the next several years. Almost every school goes through some lean years and the good ones like LC always bounce back. Since the new class system starts next year, I FOR ONE WOULD LOVE TO SEE RACELAND BACK ON THE LAWRENCE COUNTY SCHEDULE. I shouted so the powers that be can hear me. As you can tell by this thread and most other threads concerning LC and Raceland the fans and former players loved this rivalry and both would love to see it renewed.

Davidson is good and I have seen both Colerain and Davidson. Colerain's defense is better than Davidson's. Both offense's execute to perfection, it will come down which defense holds on, my pick is Colerain. Davidson struggled with Dublin Scioto last night they trailed 20-7 in the first half then scored 21 unanswered points for the win. Colerain looked better than their championship team from a couple of years ago. Whoever wins we play IMO McKinley and it will be a dandy of a game. You mentioned Pride he did play some QB last night and he is the TB and he is going to Akron as a WR, truly a very talented player.

I just watched the replay on ONN , Colerain's defense totally shutdown X.

Was this moved to tonight for the Ohio State game? I thought D-I,III,IV were being played on Saturday. Anyway big shocker, I wonder now if Colerain can go all the way or did D-I just open up to about 3 other schools: Hilliard Davidson, McKinley, Glenville.
