I hope you are right, cause I would love to see a team from the Bluegrass beat a very good Ohio team, BUT Trotwood is too strong I do believe.

Yes it is in Franklin County. There 6 school districts in Ohio that have the name Marion in it. I believe this is why it is called Marion-Franklin.

Trotwood last year finished 8th in D-II Region 8 and got beat in the first round by Trenton Edgewood 35 - 12. Marion-Franklin finished 1st in D-II Region 7 and was upset in the first round by 8th seed Uniontown Lake 16 -13. This is a big win for Trotwood as this game was at Marion-Franklin.

Wheelersburg is a D-V school in Ohio. They are always a good football team. Very sound fundamental program. I wouldn't put to much stock into the victory over Ironton as I believe Ironton is rebuilding this year instead of reloading as usual. But the 'Burg is good and JC will have their hands full on top of the hill which is where the field is located in Wheelersburg. Good Luck to both teams. Both teams will have played South Point before their meeting on the 14th. So some comparsion can be made from that. Side note: Wheelersburg has made the Ohio State playoffs every year since 1986 except for 2002 and 1993.

TM is loaded with D-1 talent. I know they have 3 or 4 kids that have transferred in from other schools such as Chaminade, Alter. TM scrimmaged Colerain a couple of weeks ago, the first half Colerain dominated them 21 - 7 but the second half TM played right there with them. TM coach said it was a good test to see where they were at and he really liked how well his kids played. Trotwood - Madison 24 Highlands 17

No games are must WINS for Lawrence County or for that matter anyone that is in their district. It is just a matter of learning the new offense and keep improving every week in time for the playoffs especially since, Lawrence; Boyd; Rowan and Greenup have already made the playoffs. So what all these teams are doing is to stay healthy and improve every game.

Trotwood's QB Britt had 3 TD passes. Pascal had the other TD a 1 yard run.

I heard Wheelersburg took it Ironton tonight. Some of Ohio's better football schools are small. But then again, as we have mentioned on BGP several times Ohio football top to bottom is better than Kentucky. But back on the thread topic. I think LC will come out of their shell this year, it is just going to take a couple of games to get used to the new offense.

Sounds like a good game in the second half. I had heard LC was down by 20. I wonder if the newspaper article was on alot of the players minds at first. Hopefully they can put that behind them and learn from this game and move on to Belfry, which BTW I will be driving like a mad man to get to.

I do too. I remember when I first moved to Ohio and saw an OT game and saw them start at the 20 I first thought there was a penalty, then someone told me different. It also brings the kicking game into the mix.

Coty Roberts, IMO is one of the better backs in 4A and very underrated. I don't know why there isn't more talk about him. He led team in scoring and yardage last season, he can break away at any given moment. He is truly a leader on this team along with the other seniors who have carried the Bulldog tradition on through tough times. The reason I am mentioning this is in a recent preview in the Daily Independent there is very little mention of these Seniors. I know LC is young but they have strong leadership with these fine young men who have stayed at LCHS and jumped ship to go to other schools when things were bad. I think they deserve more respect and I believe they will earn it every Friday night.
