I know it's not KY b-ball, but figured it was still worth mentioning.. Huntington High takes on DeMatha Catholic tonight at a sold out Cam Henderson Center at 9pm. Any thoughts or predictions for this game?

 

DeMatha is ranked 18th nationally and have wins against two top 10 teams, #2 St. Patrick and #10 Kingwood High School. The game will be televised on ESPNU. However it is sold out, so don't waste a trip up there if you don't already have tickets.

Henderson Center only holds 9,048 which is the count listed on the website of the Huntington Herald-Dispatch for how many tickets were sold and sold out the game on Thursday.

HHS won by about 10.

I think Mayo ended up with 20-25, the few minutes I saw in the third and fourth it was kinda rough. But they are still one of the best in the country and will be fun to see if they win that "mythical" national title.

Mayo had 27 and the Georgetown signee had 28. I really thought that the Georgetown signee was the best player on the floor TONIGHT. I didnt think Mayo played very hard. Patterson didnt get enough touches either. Several times he was open under the basket with his man on his hip and did not recieve the ball. Very rarely touched the ball inless it came from an offense rebounds. Early hit some huge shots down the strech. But overall one of the best high school games I have ever watched. Unbelieve talent on that floor tonight.

Chris Early came in and scored 14 or 16 points all in the 2nd half for Huntington High. Not sure who's looking at him, but he can play.

 

I agree with Mayo not playing hard, 2nd half he did look a lot better on defense IMO.
