Tough to ride 4 hours on the bus then stand around for 2 hours and play your best but taking nothing away from Lawrence Co's Chandler Shepard, pitching like he did Friday night, he could have beat anybody. Not overbearing but he mixed his fastball, curve and cutter up just enough to keep some Ryle hitters off stride. Came down to a 2 out first pitch line drive down the right field line by, none other then Shepard to score the baserunner who reached on a rare infield error. Enjoyable ballgame which Hughes pitched well for the Raiders.
