Wouldn't football players miss a few baseball games if they attended spring football practice? I think there are alot of football coaches who excuse those kids who play baseball from the spring practice. It's a tough choice these teenagers have to make.

I'm not sure who's going to be invited, but do the kids really care or is it the parents who care? I've known a few graduates and a All Star game hasn't really excited them.

I have seen the refs call this foul even in intramural games. Common on, the boys are out to have one hour of fun and a ref who thinks they are god with the black and white strips calls a T foul. This rule needs to be changed!!

As a fan in the stands, Naegli appears to be a good RB. It sounds like from others, he will be pushed by other RB's that are in the system. Hard work normally pays off. X-man, Trinity clothing isn't all that bad!!!

Thanks Bert. This should silence a few people. I'm sure it is hard for a young man to give up his eligible for a short period, but the experience at THS will be worth it.

Donovan and Neagle will be two good junior RB's next year. They will definitely have an experience line to run behind.

All I know about Atherton football is I hate their field when it rains. In my day, we should have beaten Atherton on a cold raining night, but instead they beat us. It was a mud bowl.

Jeff Naegli is a very strong runner. I hope to see him with the ball next year. I didn't think such langauage from dalen5 was appropriate on BGP! Well, be that as it may, whoever this kid is who transferred back to Trinity, will get a good education.

I'm sure he came back to T for academics only because if everything is passed, he'll have to seat out for two years from playing a sport. So nice try dalen5.

Who said Coach Petrino is moving? Did I miss something in the newspaper? Next years class of RB's could range from the sophmore to senior class. Labetz (sr to be) is a hard runner, there is a (jr to be) RB, name escapes me, but he is a hard runner. It's a BIG step running in a freshman game to a varsity game. Those freshman better put on some meat because I'm sure the coaches didn't like those injuries this past year. GO ROCKS.

Bobby Petrino will only be a sophmore next year and should do well on the JV level. Not sure if to many T players would be considered "Surprise players" for next year. Several have proven themselves on the JV level and will be ready to complete for a varsity position. GO ROCKS....

Thanks Augie. That's about what I thought I would hear, attending camps, agent involved, being invited to showcases, etc etc. I can see there is a lot on time and money involved in this process. I would assume players get noticed their sophmore/junior year in high school. Could players get noticed before their freshman year in high school?

Awesome banquet. Coach Beatty has to be one of the best speakers Trinity has had in a long time. It appears the freshman coach, Coach McGuire is starting the freshman off on the right foot. Congrats to the entire coaching staff and players for an awesome season. Looking forward to next season. Who is doing the count down?

Regardless if Trinity scrimmages Scott next year, both teams have benefitted from this scrimmage. It would be nice if Coverdale or any other IN team would scrimmage Trinity next year.

Not sure paid coaches has anything to do about talent levels. It's the intangibles T and X has that brings out the talent. HC had some very talented players, and I fell in love with one of their lineman, I think #55, he couldn't of been 5' 10", 250 lbs, but he left his heart on the field.

Undeniable or justifiable...X had their chance and they lost. Trinity was the undeniable winner last Friday and they clearly showed how classy of a team they can be. As for which "State Champion has the best chance to repeat", doesn't say "which runner up", I would Trinity and Russell.
