xtrabasehit Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 Who are the top 2-3 teams in your region and who is the favorite to win? Ninth Region Ryle Covington Catholic Boone County
kinglion Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 16th region Boyd Co Greenup Ashland with Boyd Co being the perennial favorite and could possibly make a return trip to the state tournament this season
BaseballFan13 Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 In the 15th, Pikeville will be strong as well as Allen Central, Paintsville, and Johnson Central.
sportsnutt Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 Ninth Region Ryle Covington Catholic Boone County Not a bad trio. However, I would have to put Beechwood in the top 3.
hardball Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 12th Region West Jessamine Boyle County and a whole bunch of teams that could be the third, including Danville, Mercer, Southwestern, and Pulaski. I couldn't really say who the favorite to win it is; each of these teams has a pretty good shot.
MountainTop5 Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 13th Region - Have to say Mboro & Corbin w/ S Laurel 3rd
Theoldguy Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 Ninth Region Ryle Covington Catholic Boone County Just wondering if some of the (NKy) Baseball Tournament will be played at Champion Window Park this year? While St. Henry has a very good high school field for the players to play on, it stinks for the overflow crowds that were seen this year at St. Henry. I would think that the owners of the Florence Freedom would jump at the chance to show off their complex, and it would be a huge upgrad for the fans to see a high school game at.
bigstick23 Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 Ninth Region Ryle Covington Catholic Boone County I'll take beechwood over boone.
EARLE Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 14th: Leslie County and Lee County If Lee Co. and Leslie Co. were to meet in the first round or drew into the same bracket, one of these teams would have a good shot: PCC, Hazard, KCC, Powell Co., Estill Co.
hardball Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 13th Region - Have to say Mboro & Corbin w/ S Laurel 3rd What does Whitley have coming back?
16th62nd Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 Not sure about Ashland. East Carter defeated them twice last season and return 7 starters. They are right there with Greenup in the 2 spot. 16th region Boyd Co Greenup Ashland with Boyd Co being the perennial favorite and could possibly make a return trip to the state tournament this season
Pat Dad Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 14th: Leslie County and Lee County If Lee Co. and Leslie Co. were to meet in the first round or drew into the same bracket, one of these teams would have a good shot: PCC, Hazard, KCC, Powell Co., Estill Co. I'll agree with Earle. I'd have to say that that the 14th is going to be strong this year. With the addition of Letcher Central and Estill County, it'll be interesting to see who ends up the region champs.
sixtyfeetsix Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 I think Owsley will surprise some folks this year. They have some talent there and have a new coach helping them. Lee County will always be strong as long as they have Gene Combs. I hear that Owsley's coach played for Gene Combs in College, and even helped at Lee County for awhile. They are strong up the middle, and a lot of seniors.
Diamond Dandy Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 Ninth Region Ryle Covington Catholic Boone County Boone Co won't finish in the to 3 in the 9th region....lost too many players
