Top teams in your region

Leslie,Lee,PCC,KCC,Estill,Powell. These 6 will always be there. Programs are strong and established from years and years of hard work. There will be some surprises this year. I think Hazard and the Owls in Bonneville will compete but the 56th is loaded with Estill,Powell and Lee. One of the top 5 teams in the region won't even get there. Much like the district with PCC,Hazard and Leslie. The regional winner will come from one of these six. No surprises here.

I think you have to throw Hazard in the mix. They return the majority of their team from 2005 that only lost to PCC (eventual regional champ) 6-4 in the district. Several of their kids played all summer and in the fall. Olinger was a starter on the '04 regional championship team, and is a senior. He may return after sitting out last year.

You may be right. They are in the same situation as Powell,Lee and Estill. Depending on draw they may not even make it to the tourney. Good team however and Olinger should make them a little stronger. Well coached also. Kids also know how to win and if they are junior /senior oriented then they have won a regional title or two.

In the 15th, Pikeville will be strong as well as Allen Central, Paintsville, and Johnson Central.
I agree. Pikeville will be on top at least at the begining of the season. I think Paintsville will be better than expected. Allen Central should have a great season with the returning talent they have. Johnson central, Sheldon Clark and lawrence county will also be good.

I think the 56th disrtict will produce the champ. When youv'e got Estill, Lee, and Powell Co in the DISTRICT, man, what a schedule.

The 14th region will have many strong teams this year. The two strongest would have to be Lee and Leslie IMO. Yes however they are some dangerous team too (PCC and Powell)

This season should be Exciting.

14'th Region

Leslie County Eagles

Lee County Bobcats

Not sure the region #, but Eastern, Ballard & PRP have to be in the thick of it.

It's toss up in the 10th Region with some VERY good teams:

Harrison Co.

Scott

Brossart

Campbell Co.

IMO, Scott (with the caliber of players that are coming up in 06' and 07' will win the 10th Region and make it to the State Tourney. Just look at the 04' Eagles winning the 9th Region Frosh Tourney, and the 05' Eagles losing 2-1 in 10 innings to CovCath in JV Championship in the 9th Region JV Tourney. Also looking at Scotts 05' varsity team making the 9th Region Tourney losing to the CovCath. Scott will be really good the next couple of years.

Freshman and J.V won't matter. This is Varsity. Most of those players won't even be gettin much varsity time because they have Seinors that are better than the junior back ups. The reason there class hasn't been winning regions is because they haven't all been together with the better players playing higher up because of the lack of depth the classes before them had. Scott will be a team to reckon with the two to three years.

Many smaller schools play sophs & sometimes fresh at the varsity level hence their JV teams are not as competetive as the larger schools that makes it hard to rate the impact that JV teams success will have at the varsity level.

15th JC, Sheldon Clark, Paintsville, Pikeville. Not particular order yet, but I would still put JC number 1.

This is also a random thought from someone that doesn't know much about baseball.

15th

Pikeville

Paintsville

Sheldon Clark

I would think Christian County would be the favorite in the 2nd Region again.

11th

Too many good teams to limit it to three.

So I have to go with a top 5

1. Lex. Christian

2. Henry Clay

3. Lex. Catholic

4. Lafayette

5. Tates Creek
