Has Chuck Smith applied at Boone County?
This is why I don't think Chuck Smith will be back coaching in high school again. Smith is a great coach, but coming back to high school coaching and not duplicating the success he had at Boyle Co. those last 6-7 years would really be anti climatic for both him and the school that hires him. It is better to be the "ghost of greatness" for the rest of your existance than to prove you're a mortal.

Trinity schedule 2013?
I'm curious to know why Highlands won't schedule T or X for a regular season game?

Next Danville Head Coach
I agree. I have a hard time believing he changed a culture at Bryan Station in just 9 months as head coach. Yeast may be a very good coach, but I'm not sure there is any way of knowing for sure. If he were offered and take the Danville job it would be his 5th different job in 5 years.

Warren Central 67 Henderson County 57
I'll agree with that. The one loss to East wasn't a big deal, but the 2 losses are head scratching. On another note...The Russell Co. love fest is in full effect again yet they lost at home to Barren last night. Not sure which 14 district teams will be in the finals, because one of them will get knocked out, but i'd say it'll be another all 14th district 4th region final (again).

Let me guess...Chuck Smith is interviewing!

BluegrassPreps.com All BGP Team
Numbers may be in Bir and McCoy's favor, but talent falls on the side in a large way for Bolin. Barker would be a better argument against Bolin than either Bir or McCoy IMO.

Just for fun your pick to coach the 2014 Border War
Yea you know...the past 3 Ky coaches in this are Tom Larkey, Sam Harp, and Dudley Hilton. Regular old slap nuts.

I think he is a good coach. He took over a realing Henderson program in 2007 that had a huge cloud hanging over it and has been pretty good.

Western Ky 6A football is extremely poor and that is being nice about it.

That tells you all you need to know. Two "Louisville Slugger All Americans" and i'd say very few people on here can name them. Who are they and where are they playing. I'm not raggin' baseball. It is just ridiculous for any coach in any sport to talk about giving up one sport to "focus" exclusively on another. When I think of baseball across the state, Danville does not come to mind.

Good grief. How many D1 baseball players has Danville produced? It's high school sports, PLAY EVERYTHING! 99% of all players are done playing when the final out is made in high school. And for the record...NOBODY gets a full baseball scholarship. There are 11 or so baseball scholarships divided up amongst the 30+ players on a division 1 baseball team. 85 FULL scholarships available at division 1 football level. If yo uare going to "work year round"...your best opportunity would be to invest the time in football. Just one persons observed opinion.

I didn't even know Danville played baseball. Are they good?

I think the only one on that list with an interest or a chance is Perry. A name I have heard is Josh Jaggers.

2012 CJ All-State Team Released
I don't disagree with that, but there will still be hiccups as there are with any "Allstate" team.
-
2012 CJ All-State Team Released
You can have the good hs players and I'll take the D1 players and beat you every time. Do you really think players going to D1 schools aren't good players? Insanity.
-
2012 CJ All-State Team Released
Because there will be head scratching selections and omissions with the BGP team as well.

2012 CJ All-State Team Released
Well, we've heard for several years from the NKY contingent about the greatness of Johnson Central. Maybe their players are finally getting the recognition they deserve.

St. X Coaching
Apparently WKU offered Clyburn today. I agree that he is a very good player under the radar.

Should Jonathan Jackson win Mr. Kentucky Football
The only team that might have beaten them would be Beechwood and they was 21 pts better with him. I think they find a way to squeak it out without him.
-
Should Jonathan Jackson win Mr. Kentucky Football
My answer to both questions is yes. Mayfield was winning long before Jackson showed up. Same with Quick and Trinity.
-
Should Jonathan Jackson win Mr. Kentucky Football
If they gave the award for the best player on Mayfields team then Jackson wins easily. If you are starting a team from scratch you take the best player available and that player would be Quick. Jackson is great...but the fact is that he is not fast and dominates against a Class A schedule.

Should Jonathan Jackson win Mr. Kentucky Football
He's the best player on the best team in the state. He's the biggest recruit in the state. I don't know what is so hard to understand.
-
Should Jonathan Jackson win Mr. Kentucky Football
Quick is a better player. Period.
-
Should Jonathan Jackson win Mr. Kentucky Football
It goes to the best player. Quick is a better player than Jackson.
