I'm not 100% sure on this & really don't feel like looking it up, but I believe we merely tied the series back in the early '90's before the Xaverians stretched it back out again...

It could have been the kid from Ballard, not sure of his name (maybe Hardin??), but he doesn't play football, just runs track but I've heard he's ridiculously fast... Nothing against Tinmmons but I think the award is JQ's to lose...

I believe so, think he was an assistant on the west squad last year, will be east head coach this year if memory serves...

X's size up front appeared to be much the same as always & they will win plenty of games over their career, maybe even against T. But T had similar size & appeared somewhat more athletic & seemed to run the ball equally as well as X. our passing game is just so much more sophisticated than theirs, even at this level & T will likely expand that advantage each year unless the offensive philosphy evolves significantly w/ the new staff on poplar level...

I was there & I was fairly impressed w/ both teams. I thought T was a little better, maybe not 17 points better, but better nonetheless. But this T freshman class isn't nearly as impressive as the current seniors were 3 yrs ago, but that is based on last nights game alone & T's starting RB went down early but looked pretty special in what little I saw of him...My biggest impression taken away was that X continues to struggle through the air & are much more one dimensional...

No question about it. I have friends that went to X & I always hope they win when they aren't playing us, as there is, outside of the ages of the two schools, virtually no difference in the two in terms of the folks in each community. Each has it's area's of strength & area's in need of improvement but only the blindest X homers would deny that, as an institution, they tend to look down their noses at what they view as the nouveau riche Rocks. That's why it's so much fun to beat them head to head, regardless of the venue... Good luck Tigers & GO ROCKS!!

what he said x 10! I hate X's banana uni's as much as I hate T's black on black & green on green but there is no more hideous uni anywhere than our black pants w/ green jersey's. On the flip side I love our simple green jersey w/ the white pants, probably my favorite T uni ever... interested in what we'll wear tonight, anyone know?

Everything I've seen ranks Ensworth, then BA, then MBA in the D-II private school division. MBA has been thru the ringer since last year...

some of the comments from coacht.com: So what challenges will MBA face this year after being caught and penalized via recruiting? What are non-MBA football enthusiasts supposed to feel about MBA and its program after nasty politics and the coaching position, spilling into school administration, and their recent (haha) involvement in recruiting? Trinity 63, MBA 7 It'll be another Byrnes debacle. BA is better than MBA and they got trounced by 30. Trinity could put 70 on MBA this year.

I would expect it would be Todd Walsh if they are promoting from within...

(Nov. 26, 2011) – KYTC crews will begin preparing the next segment of Interstate 65 for reconstruction on Tuesday, November 29. ‪Barrier wall will be set for both directions of I-65 from mile marker 48/Park City to mile marker 53/Cave City beginning Tuesday night. Crews will begin on the northbound direction first. Lane closures will be used from 7 pm until 7 am and will push traffic down to 1 lane while the barrier work is performed, weather permitting. ‪Motorists should be prepared for slow moving traffic during this time and reduce their speed accordingly. To date I would say the 2005 14-6 T playoff win is the biggest upset in the series but if the Tigers can turn the tables tonight I do believe it would surpass even that upset in the grand scheme of things. Good Luck Tigers, & GO ROCKS!!!!

you sure about that? barring an upset @ Maxwell Field this friday it seems like T will be playing Male in the first round & whichever one of X/M survives in the second round, correct?

My uncle graduated in 1969 & they were known as The Rocks then according to some of the scribbling on his class notebooks...

They had 2 solid running backs: one big & strong, the other smaller and jet-quick. Eric Clay, maybe? And they ran the wing-T. First time I'd seen that offense and I still can't find the ball! That's all I can remember.

I saw Clark Co. beat the Rocks that year & they were awesome & much quicker than we were that night for sure, but I don't think they could touch this years Rock squad...

I'd say at this point that would be a fair statement...
