THE GAME was broadcast nationally in 1990, is annually one of the highest attended games in the entire country, & was featured on CBS Sports in an hour long special 2 seasons ago. Anything that brings that kind of attention to KY high school football is a good thing, regardless of what the good folks in Inez & Louisa may be discussing w/ their neighbors...

Not in 4-a but it was that way in 3-a when 3-a was the largest class (pre 1975). when 4-a started it was the Jeff Co. 4-a winner v. the state at large 4-a winner for the overall 4-a crown. this worked for a while but was changed over complaints that Jeff Co. was guaranteed a spot in the finals every year. The result is an all too often all Jeff. Co final...

I was at the top of the T side but he appeard to be of average size for a 15-16yr old...

I was there & the kid they had kicking was definitely impressive. He didn't miss a 50 yard attempt by much at all...

I can only imagine he means that this class of tigers has closed the gap on their Rock counterparts. He may not realize that Mssrs. White, Hatcher, & Quick were in the stands last night but should be factors for a few years to come...

I was told that Coach Bean was recently let go & Craig Swabek was promoted to replace him as Defensive Coordinator. I haven't seen anything official from T but did hear that from a very reliable source...

I can't necessarily agree as to him replacing one of the players listed since I didn't get the opportunity to see some of them play. But I did see Hamblen play against the Rocks in 2000 & he was one of the best high school athletes I've ever seen on the gridiron & I've been around a while...:thumb:

I'm not saying SK couldn't possibly have beaten T this year & the earlier in the season the better your chances. But until SK actually scores their first point in history on the Rocks I wouldn't go counting any fictitious playoff victories if I were you...

who said Beechwood wasn't the team of the '90's?? I'm not saying they were because I don't have all the figures in front of me but it was probably either them or the Xaverians. I know Beechwood won (at least) 7 titles, not sure of their's or X's overall record or how many titles X won though. I do know Trinity won 3 titles in the decade, pretty sure X won more...
