Trinity vs. Montgomery Bell Academy Predictions

Featured Replies

Trinity travels to Nashville to take on MBA Friday evening. I predict a Trinity win, but not an easy win. This will be the first road game for many of the new starters against a very good, well-coached opponent.

By the way, I've just learned that Robin Williams' character in the 1990 film, Dead Poets Society, was based on a teacher that the screenwriter had while going to school at MBA. The screenwriter is Tom Schulman (who won an Academy Award for his efforts) and the teacher was

Sam Pickering.

OK, Posters, back to football.

some of the comments from coacht.com:

So what challenges will MBA face this year after being caught and penalized via recruiting? What are non-MBA football enthusiasts supposed to feel about MBA and its program after nasty politics and the coaching position, spilling into school administration, and their recent (haha) involvement in recruiting?

Trinity 63, MBA 7

It'll be another Byrnes debacle. BA is better than MBA and they got trounced by 30. Trinity could put 70 on MBA this year.

I thought most TN media was stating that MBA was better than BA this year?? With the game in Nashville, I have a hard time seeing T blowing them out.

Everything I've seen ranks Ensworth, then BA, then MBA in the D-II private school division. MBA has been thru the ringer since last year...

Oh, OK.

The 'Rocks keep rocking on.

35-21 Rocks. Closer than Rock fans would like.

i dont know about this close game you'll speak of. I honestly don't even know why this is a thread. T in run away fashion.

FWIW Trinity has never won at MBA. (At least I don't think they have)

Trinity 35-14.

I am not convinced that Trinity is at this point so early in the season. Remember, they had to score a TD right before halftime to lead B.A. 24-23 at half at home. Like All Tell, I don't remember T ever winning at MBA, however, I do recall a bank of lights going out one year so that a good portion of the field was in the gloaming as T was trying to come back (I think Brian Brohm was QB). This is a fairly long trip to Nashville and many of the players are new starters. How will they respond? MBA will be very well coached, you can bet on that.

Also, how can one listen to the game in the Louisville area? Will it be on Trinity radio? Thanks.
