I can't take another like that one. WOW. But congrats to the Bulldogs on a super season and a super game. Now to check the tank before the drive to Lexington! Henry Clay has similar skill players. There is no room for a let down . Everyone is tough when you're down to the final four. To all you Male fans , great game. We need to make a DVD of the last 4 meetings. What a show !

Do You think that this was a 'cast the bait ' thread or what ? Male or Trinity haven't even looked to see' who they play if'. Henry Clay and Ryle have very good records , and either is capable of winning the state title , especially without having to face H or T in this round. By the way . What are the Litratings today ? As of last week , Male would have been about a 15 point favorite over Trinity, and only a 10 point favorite over St.Xavier. ( and beat them by 26!) Male is the most talented team in the state , and I know Henry Clay is loaded with speed also.

Its the hate Louisville thing that instigated this farce. It should be the last game. After this monumental challenge , the winner of this giant contest will have to win 2 more games. And for Male , the road has been even tougher having played (uh,destroyed) St.X on 11/10. The other games will be good , but this is the big kahoona.

Oh but the blind can still speak, and they will. I guess some St.X people think that you would have beaten Trinity , and although I know that you are all absolutely wrong , you can argue it , but not state it. The KHSAA ruled the game could not be called a 'no contest'. The score would remain in a regular season game. The KHSAA made a ruling on the game , and your coach fails to comply with their ruling. There is no such thing as turning your head away from the rules or a ruling. Even just a little bit . Your verdict was handed down and you have to live with it. Or just pretend. As far as hunkering down, tell that to your coach. 30 years from now when your sitting there with your grandson on your knee, you won't have to say , well wecouldashouldawoulda. You can just say , we were behind 10-0 , and the KHSAA ruled that Trinity won the game.It rained .Not real hard if you ask me .(of course ,being a Rock man, I wanted it to continue so we could have put some turtle wax on your skinned rears) X beat Trinity last year in the regular season by what 32 points or something. It hurt then , but doesn't now. The moral of the story is , 'get over it ' and enjoy life. Sheesh. Congratulations on a great season and we hope you all enjoy your new home field as much as we enjoy Mashall Stadium. Guys , like I said before , I'm trying to help you. At some point , an adult has to face the realization that it is indeed , just a game. Don't ruin good sport with hatred and demeaning remarks. ......I know tcj... I 'm getting the slicker out now. No matter how you want to cut the cloth, Mike has been playing the charade game for quite some time. He doesn't want to relive the 'Fire Mike ' days before he had his run in the 90's, so he keeps jabbing at the rival he HATES the most. Showing no class or sportsmanship looks bad not only on your staff and team , but on your school as well. The St.X enrollment has been behind Trinity's for some time , and they have way more alumni than does T. When their administration stops looking through their gold colored glasses , they would see a man that is full of deceit and hatred. Catholics aren't supposed to live that way , in any form . Over stepping the Trinity loss wasn't an oversight; he has his people thinking it shouldn't count. Unbelievable quote . It doesn't hurt to have your 2 losses to the team that is going to win the state.(he should have stated , that he wants to see Male win the state) Thats' not what he said last year about the team that beat him in their 'last game'. And yet again , they didn't 'win their last game'. Maybe I should be quiet now because I love the fact that he is their coach. Hate is a blinding force that leads good people into the gates of .... For my X friends , and I have many, you need a coaching change. Not 750 million bucks in athletic fields and stadiums. To let a man that follows his hate to open your stadium is not in anyone's Christian spirit. St.X is a better place than that. Well , that is what I used to think. And another thing St.X brothers, do you really think that his comment is a good thing for your rematch with the Rocks next year ? People , I'm trying to help you !!!!!!! Atomic scoreboards ,10,000 seats and free hot dogs isn't the problem solving issue here. Male defeated St.X last night not only on the field , but in having class as well. Red was well spoken and humble after his teams' win last night. and finally ........when the officials met with Beatty and Glaser during the storm, Glaser wanted to stop it , every time. Beatty wanted the game to proceed, Glaser was clamoring for a cancellation at first chance, then tells the media that he felt strongly about winning the game. We didn't want it to stop at 10-0 , thats for sure. We would have stood there for 36 hours to play a 5 quarter game. My source, well , lets just say that a good official doesn't lie. The Male -Trinity matchup is a game between the 2 best teams in the state. Period. St.X .....9-3 Is not a bad slate for the tough schedule you played . (you may well still be playing IF .... you guys need to fill in the blank)

The real shocker was Woodford Co. beating Lafayette. I thought they would go far. Is Scott Co. still alive ? I am with ya LSU . Ryle has had some impressive wins.

DeSALES going to Manual ? That is interesting . That will be a boost for interest in the Colts program as many from the Germantown area just like to go there to watch a football game. I look forward to seeing the brown and orange back in Manual Stadium ! They have played there in the past before playing at Iroquois.

WOW ..... I would like to watch film on that because I can remember 3 sophomores playing some in the first half of that game on defense.(1 started) I can't remember any negatives being expelled by any Rock parents after the game either. All were very happy . At Trinity , we are one. The job gets done and we get happy!

Surprise to me , although Lafayette has been impressive. Congrats to the generals.

How will the rematch play-out ? Did anyone hold anything back on that quagmire last night? It should be a dandy, and I suspect that there will be some new hat added to game 2.

Trinity wins in a 4 quarter tigger tussle.

I think that this hits the nail on the head and is closer to the original topic. I think the coaches are playing this game for good film for the rematch in what, 3 weeks ? Either team can win , but the can won't be opened until the play-off game. Thats' when the drivin' will get dirty. I think Male will win this one, but St.X gets revenge in the play-offs.

I would have to say Paul Hornung. Howard Schnellenberger also played football and basketball in High school and was all -state in football , decent in basketball. I think someone that is being over looked here recently is Mario Urrutia. He is a phenom receiver and could have played college basketball as well. He was good enough to play for some mid major basketball programs and I don't think BB could have done that . Its a hard sell on the younger guys because their life is ahead of them , so I will stick to Hornung. Boy , Micheal Bush was recruited by some biggies for football AND basketball, but made the best decision. Also , how can anybody leave out Wah Wah Jones from Harlan ,Ky. , I think. He made All-American in football and basketball in the 1940's at UK. Well, I changed my mind, Its Wah Wah Jones !

T does not have that many JRS. playing j-v. There may be 3 or 4 at the most.(I can only think of 2) Most of the sophs. that play on Fridays aren't playing j-v either, so its kind of like a swap out type of thing. They aren't playing an all junior team either ; their is one j-v team , period.

I thought about the Sunday thing myself, but both schools are aware that CSAA games are played on Sundays' and it wouldn't have been fair to the little guys. I can remember when X played Flaget on Sunday afternoons . That was pretty neat. I wish that DeSales -Holy Cross-St.X - Trinity could work something like that out at the start of the year. A Louisville Catholic School invitational, of sorts.

Well, I guess Trinity will never ever get a W against St.X that their fans think we deserve. There is nothing more than I wanted last night MORE THAN 4 quarters. I couldn't find one T fan that wanted the game to be called. While we looked like gangbusters and they were on their heels, why would a T fan want that game stopped other than the obvious reasons for human safety. Any how ,X will beat Male both times they play and meet us again. It might be a whole different game then , so in reality , a game that drew 30,000 fans doesn't mean anything . Especially when there was 1:16 left in the first qtr. when it was called.Trinity's ball on the 44 yard line. And Trinity ahead 10-0. I sat there in the stands to the bitter end, with all the T students displaying their school pride by standing there and cheering the whole night. What a great place, and great spirit to be a part of ! TRINITY FOREVER ! and for the old X person who scorned our kids for staying out there cheering, at least we didn't have a kid run on the field and taunt security as they were trying to get him off the field, holding a yellow St.X football. I'm glad I stayed in the stands as long as I did . In closing , I will tell you this; take care of yours, and we will take care of ours ,and God will take care of us all.

Soccer is the culprit that tares the field apart, and I can't understand why they play there when they have all that grass at the school sight. Soccer doesn't even draw 100 people to any given game,so why play at the stadium? If you don't believe me then ask Bobby S. , he will tell you !
