Knew it would be a great game but expected HC to win. Congrats to Lafayette. :thumb:

I am REALLY shocked by this one. Looks like Harmon has HC's #.

Any stats on the game or such? How did Lafayette keep the Blue Devils to just 13 points?

No surprise at all, Henry Clay is not very good upfront on both sides of the ball , Lafayette manhandled Henry Clay, Stevenson for Lafayette had 12 carries for 75 yards and Layman had 52 yards rushing, Logan Bunch had 201 yards passing. Phillipi was Clay's leading rusher with 116 yards.

Also, Henry Clay didn't score their last TD until 3:50 left in the game, against a prevent defense from Lafayette, Tommy Gifford should have picked off that pass but it went right through his hands.

I'm surprised by this one.

Could anyone be doing a better job coaching than Lafayette's staff?

Can you say coach of the year?

Lafayette is for real I guess. I guess you can pose the question now, is Lafayette a threat to the Big 3?

Not shocked at all.

Lafayette is quietly the best team in Lex.

Not "quietly" now.

How big is the Lafayette/Scott Co game next week?

How big is the Lafayette/Scott Co game next week?

Big enough that it is for the #1 seed in the playoffs.

If Scott County wins, tie-breakers kick in between Scott Co., Lafayette, and HC for the #1-3 seeds. I think Henry Clay would get the #1 due to their non district opponents record's are better than Lafayette's.

If Lafayette wins, Scott County travels to Henry Clay for round 1 and Lafayette will most likely host Tates Creek.

Actually the 1seed of this district plays district 8 in the playoffs. So it would be Lafayette/GRC. Either Madison Central or Lincoln would take home the #1 seed in that district and face off against Tates Creek or Woodford Co. With Montgomery being the 3 seed and facing off with either Scott, or Henry Clay. This is if Lafayette beats Scott Co. of course
