So you don't like the NCAA basketball tourney?

You have listed some terrible teams above. If you want to prove that the districts overall record is NOT a result of playing weak schedules tell us who their non-district wins came against. My guess there are alot of wins over teams like Lynn Camp, Moore, Middlesboro, and few or none over the Lex. Cath, Bell County, Scott County and Corbin. Not to mention playing in a six (6) team district benefited their record as well since all four (4) of the teams could post wins over North Laurel and Clay County, neither of which was very good.

I was thinking the same thing. Whether Central can sustain what they have started is still a big question mark to me. If the question is can Holmes get a string of kids and be as good as anyone in the state in 4A? My answer would be without a doubt, yes. Sustaining it for both Central, Holmes, and really anyone is much more difficult.

What we have to say about that is win a couple of more regular season district games and make sure you aren't a #3 or #4 seed. Consider your regular season district games must wins, unlike they are now. This system is truely awful. Too many teams in the playoffs. Too many really bad teams in the playoffs. Too many state champions.

Also as far as Colerain ducking no one. It might have been to their benefit if they would have ducked either St. X or Elder this year and replaced it with someone who would have given them a Harbin point (how many points did they need?).

Desales has played every GCL South team in the past few years (2 this year I believe). They pratically go begging for opponents. My guess is they would welcome a game with Colerain.

Does Colerain duck smaller OH schools? Because all you have to do is look at schools like Desales and Watterson to realize that they will play absolutely anybody.

Maybe we should have a poll. Who votes KY's version of the "ol ball coach", knew exactly what happened? Very funny.

Maybe recently they have had "tough battles", but for most of the past 20 years or so it felt like that it was SK vs. Scott having the "tough battles".

How did Frisk and Mitchell end up at Cov. Cath. in the first place?

I was curious as to whether that was true so I looked it up and that is not the case. Highlands did have byes before the Cov. Cath game in 2003 and 2004, but this was the first year their bye has come the week preceeding the Cov. Cath game since then. I am sure Highalnds would prefer to put the bye the week before their biggest regular season district game each year, but with the trouble they have scheduling games, I doubt that can be a primary driver in their schedule.

Most (if not all) NKY teams will trade tape on Highlands.

What does the recent history between these two look like?

Does the fact that no one wants to play Highlands.... - Say more about the teams that won't step up and play them? or - More about Highlands/Dale Mueller and some of their past tactics/antics?

I know this is probably stirring the pot, but why did Bruns leave Dixie to go to Highlands?

Agree with everything you said. Dixie and Ryle have the best facilities in NKY. Highlands is unique and has atmosphere.

What has the series history looked like between these two teams in the recent past?
