Tell me your thoughts.

No, the teams in 4a at the top are as athletic and more disiplined with a good tradition. Central, by far out athletes everyone in 3a, I dont think that Holmes will do that to teams such as Bell County, Lex. Cath, Boyle.

Well I do not know much about Central but Holmes has all the potential to become a mainstay at 4A. Hey they do have a nationally ranked basketball program. I think the athletes are there. Now good coaches have started rolling out a program that will bring out more athletes.

I think that they can be one of the top teams in 4A. But only time will tell.

Your telling me you don't think there are more athletes at Holmes than those three schools? I will tell you right now there are. If coach Lickert can get those kids to come out for football lookout!!!!!

Holmes can become one of the top dogs. The have plenty of talent. Plus the are used to playing a stiff schedule.

From what I hear they might be getting the best athlete from the NKYFL and the BCYFL...:scared::scared:

I was thinking the same thing.

Whether Central can sustain what they have started is still a big question mark to me. If the question is can Holmes get a string of kids and be as good as anyone in the state in 4A? My answer would be without a doubt, yes. Sustaining it for both Central, Holmes, and really anyone is much more difficult.

I think there are as many athletes as anywhere, but that does not always mean there are as many football players. Again this is my opinion. I think Holmes on talent alone will be a 2nd or 3rd round staple in the current 4a picture, but not a 2 times state champ like central anytime soon, not a cut on Holmes just an opinion.

Do you mean the BCPWFL? Who would that be?

Yes, Beal...

I don't know about how many athletes but football players have a longer history at those schools. It's not like they haven't played the likes of Highlands, Henry Clay, Cov Cath, or for that matter Louisville Central before. (In fact Central used to be in the same side of the playoffs as Boyle and the Rebels beat them every time.)

I believe Holmes will do well in 4A but your presumption is a little off IMO. :thumb:

Unless Holmes has a dance team like Centrals, no they can't.:dancingpa

Central has 42 freshmen this year, two seasons ago (Scroggins 1st season) they only had 9. And not only numbers, but some of the best freshmen in the Metro Louisville area. In year's past, those kids would have been at other schools, but with Central's back to back Football titles and Sweet 16 appearances a lot of the kids that play in what was once the Muhammad Ali Youth League now go to Central.
