Campbell County Red Devils opened the season today against the Covington Bengal Tigers at Mills Road Field. The Red Devils swept the PeeWee, Midget, Junior and Senior divisions. The Senior Red Devils defeated the Bengal Tigers 42 - 12.

 

Standout players of the Senior game included: Red Devils Zach Harris, Avery Wood, Brandon Hergott, Thomas Wrobleski and Garrett Geiman. Geiman returned an interception for 55 yards and a touchdown. Harris had multiple runs over 20 yards and he and Wood dominated the defensive side of the ball. Brandon Hergott made a great catch while Wrobleski ran the ball hard racking up a ton of yards.

 

For the Bengal Tigers, #23 Jonathan Scruggs ran 2 long touchdowns. This kid has wheels!

 

Anyone have any other game details for the weekend?

Watch the Boone county football league at Gridiron field. The Senior division Cougars has one of the best young athletes around. #37 is a player.

I watched the starters today, and I posted a pic from the game earlier, but my post got deleted for some reason. :idunno: Out of the 4 games I've attended this year at this level, the Lions are the hardest hitters. There were some big hits out there today. #20, who played on the 2nd/3rd teams was good. He ran the ball very well, and he could lay the wood for a kid that small.
