  1. Why is this even a discussion. Highlands vs. Bowling Green could have been a possibility in '09 and '10. It didn't happen.:idunno: Now you want a match up?
  2. Wow! First and for most, there is no place for that display on any football field. I would not want that from my players and I would expect the coach to not want that from his players. If the coach is that explosive, I would hope an assistant coach would at least get him out of the situation and away from his players quickly. Sad.
  3. It is not "if they would like". A school can move up in classification if they are geographically challenged. A few years ago when Highlands was in 5 A , that was because they were rated as a 3A team and at that time Cov. Cath. was rated a 4A team. There were very few teams within reasonable traveling distance for either of those teams. They both petitioned the KHSAA to move up a class which was accepted which then made up Cov. Cath., Highlands, Dixie, and Scott in that district. I think Dale does a great job at scheduling. Not an easy thing to do. Everyone says well "why aren't you playing this team and that team. You just have to remember that everyone has a schedule they are filling in and it isn't just open weeks here and an open week there that matches. Heck, It's hard enough to just try and get a few couples over for a dinner on a Saturday night. Can't imagine trying to schedule every Friday night from August til November.
  4. Congrats to Campbell. Looking forward to the match up at Highlands next year.
  5. Congrats to Dixie. I know, can't believe I'm saying this. But you know if they were still in Highlands class it would be game on.:taz:
  6. Big congrats to Dixie.
  7. Don't worry uk#1fan, there is still hope. Campbell Co. in the regular season beat the 1975 Highlands State Championship team. IM SO DEAD
  8. Congrats to the Camels.
  9. Loved the old field. Wished they could have put the turf in at the old stadium. It is a classic.
  10. Was that the trip where they had crying towels all over town?
  11. Just curious but how many seniors does Cov. Cath. have on the team and how many of those started or played Friday night?
  12. Highlands won 14 to Cov. Cath. 0 in 1968. Cov. Cath. beat Highlands 35 to 6 in 1969, for those that were having that discussion. I think this years game will be an awesome game. Cov. Cath. has a great QB and an exceptional defense. I could be wrong but this may be a high scoring game. I love the anticipation and exicitement that this game brings. It has been awhile since I have felt this way about this game. Looking forward to some good ole Kentucky football.
  13. It's been awhile and I'm ready. GO BIRDS
  14. Chief; You have a great group of kids on your team . I'm so very sorry I did not meet you tonight, but have watched you coach your team the last two years and have seen how much you are dedicated to the kids and how the kids are working for you. Success will come. Keep fighting hard. Mrs. Leatherneck
  15. Looking forward to this game. I don't think there is a home field advantage when playing Cov. Cath., when it comes to time of day. They are use to playing possibly half thier games per season at night and the other half during the day each year. It's the teams that play a home game once a year at Cov. Cath. in the middle of the afternoon on a Saturday or sometimes at 10:00 (due to heat) on a Saturday that get thrown off. Cov. Cath. always comes with their A game. This year will be no different.
  16. What happened there?
  17. Big congrats to Dixie. Dixie can get it done. Believe in the coaches and play as a team and everything will fall into place.
  18. Anyone with directions to Western? What is the parking like? What are the stands like?
  19. Don't understand the purpose of your question. What does that have to do with anything?
  20. You should have found me. I have antifreeze.
