  1. Congrats to Mr. Bir. What schools is he looking at?
  2. Did we lose the Jumbotron?
  3. "Just fill that water bottle with this much bourbon before I ref this game."
  4. Actually , the problem with the sound system at the game last night was coming from the Jumbotron and not the press box.
  5. Uk#1 fan because Cov. Cath doesn't play til Saturday morning. UK fan is on a high right now.
  6. That was a very qualified post. Thank you.
  7. First of all, get over hearing your sons name announced over the speaker system. It means nothing. The kids don't hear it. The game is not about the parents or grandparents. I can say this because I'm a parent of offensive linemen that never got their names mentioned. And both were All State Linemen. Actually never really listen to announcers. Personnally they annoy me. Really , if you watch the game and really pay attention to what is going on, you don't hear anything that is going on around you.
  8. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm pulling for the Colonels in this one. Going with the red Colonels.
  9. I miss and need the newspaper sports page. Please , Please , Please give the kids the write up they deserve. Nothing is better then geotta on a Saturday moring and going thru the newspaper and reading all the football stories. Not only that , what will these boys have to show their grandchildren? It means more on newspaper print than a copy of an internet page. Internet counts also, it is just another new avenue. Gotta have both.
  10. My heart is breaking for the Draper family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
  11. Gold Star for me.:thumb: Gold Star has been nothing but unbelieveable in there support of the Fort Thomas Jr. Football league over the years. Thank you Gold Star.
  12. :thumb: I only remember 61-0. Again and again.
  13. Thank goodness I can't figure out or care to figure out all that on Demand c**p. Heck, I'm still working on Leatherneck on Demand.:idunno: At least the dog has it down.:thumb: Was that the last Great Cov. Cath. game? Just curious. Has it been ten years and there hasn't been a great Cov. Cath game since?
  14. Fort Thomas Jr. Football league is about developing football players reguardless where they play football. That is the beauty of the league . It isn't about winning little league games or winning little league championships, it's about developing football players. . This is also a major contributor to the success of the Highlands varsity program. Hence, why the Highlands coaches are completely on board with the Ft. Thomas Jr. Football league. It is also why you are starting to see schools like Cov. Cath. and Campbell county develop their own little league. Fort Thomas has created a great little football feeder program that has been successful for the past 50 plus years. It is great that other areas see that and create their own programs. It only makes for better football in Northern Kentucky.
  15. Both my sons played in this game and absolutely loved it. It was a relaxed, fun atmosphere to play with some kids that they had played against all season and get to know them on a different level. Really sorry to see this go away. It was actually one of the more rewarding All Star games.
  16. Congrats to the Birds. Keep it rolling.
  17. Big Congrats to the Birds. Heard the crowd all the way to my house.
  18. Thoughts and prayers are with the Burkemeier Family .
