Highlands vs Newport Central Catholic (Frosh)

The freshmen Birds and Breds play on Sept. 19 at 6:00 pm at Highlands.

Who wins and why?

I don't know much about NC but I know they HATE CAKE. They will bring their best game to Highlands Wednesday night.

Both have played common opponents (Dixie and Beechwood) with similar results. Both beat Dixie by a TD and got embarassed by Beechwood.

Highlands really needs this win to get things back on track. I worry about the injuries. Seven did not play last week against Beechwood and 3 or 4 were starters. A few more injuries and this is a very average team. I expect they will get Hergott and Dressman back this week.

Sober day at practice today.

I hear their #s are very low, but thats about it

Does anyone know anything about NewCath?

Watched them play vs BW. Tigers second string O was in two series into second half. Their offense wasn't able do anything, may not have made a first down vs first team D. Highlands gets a W in this one.

Not a lot of interest in this thread. This shocks me given the birds play NCC. Maybe it's the week of the Cov. Cath game. Maybe it's a big loss to

BW. I thought this game would stir some interest.

I am looking fed to this one as well BBWarrior! I have many friends from both schools that would like to see this rivalry renewed at the varsity level as well.

This game brings back some old memories - some good, some bad. You got to be interested in this game. This is the only time these kids will meet in football during their high school careers.

I don't think people are that interested in freshman games, other than parents of the players.
