The BBA enforces this rule in every game. However, if coaches are coaching, they let them be. If you're yelling at an official outside of your box, better get comfortable. I also agree that 14 feet is too small.

IDK about this one 07. James is reallllly good, but the Hawkins kid is really good, too. He'll probably be better than Hawkins when all is said and done, but 30x? C'mon now. Sometimes we have to give credit where credit is due - MC won and Holmes played an outstanding game.

Are you referring to the ft where the horn had gone off? I was listening, but not watching. Feed went in and out a few times near the end.

I believe the 9th has been well represented at the boys & girls Sweet 16 lately. James Pouncy has been a couple/few times in recent years and even worked in the state championship game at least once. Jason is a good official and has paid his dues, so congrats to him!

This I do agree with! Brad Carr plays 9-11 kids a game and each one has the potential to contribute as well as play good defense. When it's on, they're fun to watch.

Can't say that I believe this either. HC is where they are for a reason. No way Carr overlooks Harrison Co. His kids will be ready to play or they will go down. If Nick Jackson plays Friday like he did in the first three quarters last night, his career is over.

Kelsch is their only Senior, from what I read in the program. They'll surely miss him! Goldy, I think they'll be ranked anywhere from 1-3 preseason next year.

Congrats to Holmes on the victory and to Newcath on an outstanding season. Nothing to hang their heads about here. One thing is for certain, the team who makes it out of the bottom half of this bracket will have earned it.

Congratulations to the Scott Eagles on the win! Also, congrats to the Augusta Panthers on a tremendous season, as well as their District Championship. Never a doubt that this would be a hard fought game that would come down to the final minute. I must say, it was really nice seeing the complete respect the opposing staff's showed to the players of the other team. After the game, I watched the Scott coaches embrace the Augusta kids as well as the Augusta coaches embrace the Scott kids. In all my years following basketball, I don't know if I've ever witnessed such mutual respect. It was truly refreshing to see. The very best of luck to the Scott team this Friday night. Also, I just wanted to give my sincere best wishes to Mr. Kelsch on whatever it is that his life brings. I really enjoyed watching him play tonight. He also shoots the three better than his dad! The fans of Augusta have loads of great basketball that they will see in the next three seasons. Hopefully their Coach will be able to stick around to coach them. Surely he has to be on someone's short list.

I can assure you that Brad Carr will have his team prepared for all of Augusta's personnel. Their staff has never overlooked anyone. Jason Hinson has done a fantastic job at Augusta and his players deserve every accolade they receive. Should be a dandy in The Fieldhouse tonight. How does having 8th Region officials impact this game?

While I would hate to see these schools consolidate, one would think this could be a way for the young people in these schools to have an opportunity to excel academically. Truth be told, I don't have a clue what goes on at Newport, Bellevue and Dayton, but seeing that two of the three are on the priority list, something is not right. Hopefully things can work out for all parties, one way or the other.

Congrats to the Eagles on the win! Really glad to hear that Jackson and McGovney had big nights. With the season on the line you're best players have to be special. Nate is a fine young man and an outstanding basketball player. I wish him nothing but the best.

I don't see it that way. Kids must make plays, play within themselves and play defense. Cooper has a very nice team and will make a solid run at the 9th region. Tim Sullivan is a really good coach, but coaches the same way that Brad Carr does. Kids are held accountable, in good times and bad. Btw, any Scott JV parents who complain about coaching are grinding their axe.

A true gamer! I'd have bet the farm those ft's were going down. A slow first half, followed by a spectacular second. Congrats to Jeff Schraffenberger, Brad Walker and the entire Simon Kenton freshman team on an outstanding season and Regional Championship! Jeff is an outstanding coach and deserves all the accolades he and his team have earned. On the flip side, a devastating loss for Matt Stevens, Steve Sorrell and their freshman Colonels. They fought back and deserved to win, too. Good news for them is that they will be in more regional finals and will win their share of them. Truly a classy event! I absolutely love the pageantry (banners, all tournament team, etc.) but I especially love that freshman basketball is put on a big stage for kids who work for three months on making a lasting memory.

I don't think any freshman who is starting JV/Varsity should play a second on the freshman team. How do you build chemistry when one or more of your players don't practice with you, or are missing your games bc they're at the JV game? It's not right to the kids who are left behind to practice and play everyday, but who take a seat when the JV kids are available.
