  1. Tough to beat Holy Cross in their gym when they're shooting the three well.
  2. Best wishes to Nate on a full recovery. Great kid!
  3. I'm not familiar with this story, but surely would like a copy. Any background info on the 1967 Tomcats?
  4. Good win for Brad Carr and the boys. Not always easy getting a win on the hilltop. Harrison County has a very nice team and will be a tough out in the regional tournament.
  5. Did the KHSAA kill live video of all games? I saw where everything was on a four hour delay through their iHigh channel. I assume only live audio is permitted?? Anyone?
  6. I'm not a big fan of the 14 foot coaches box, but understand why it's in place. Personally, I think officials in the BBA are some of the best in the state. With that said, if a coach is coaching, and not talking/yelling at an official, then I would hope they would be leanient on that 14 feet.
  7. Is Austin Hergott playing with the freshman? I noticed him dressing up some last year, but didn't know if that meant anything. Big body, great kid.
  8. Maybe time for a better source. Not trying to be mean about it, just matter of fact. Some people have the wrong information and some have the correct information.
  9. Henry, this is inaccurate. Officials who work in the semi-final do not work in the finals. State championship crews work the regional final and state final together, but they do not work the semi's.
  10. I would have to say this will be one of the cooler stories leading up to the championship games this weekend. Both have done tremendous jobs with their respective schools! If you think back, Randy Borchers was rumored to be a finalist for the Dixie job, but chose to stay at Cooper and continue to build on what he and his staff had begun. It would be a tremendous accomplishment for both Newcath & Cooper to capture state titles, but would be an even greater victory to those of us who prefer loyal, hard-working men lead our children. I, for one, have always rooted for each and every NKY team who gets the chance to play in the state finals. Nothing could make this member happier than a clean sweep this weekend. Best of luck to Cooper, Newcath & Highlands this week! Stay healthy and travel safe.
  11. Jim McKee and his staff have done a marvelous job with this group of kids! Congrats to both teams on a hard fought game!!
  12. Congrats to Randy Borchers and the Cooper Jags! Everyone in NKY should be proud of this group of boys and how far they've come in five years! I don't know what lies ahead for them, but good Lord willing, they will bring back hardware to Northern Kentucky for the first time in the short history of 5A football!!!
  13. Thanks anyway!! Hopefully Matt and the boys can get everything back up.
  14. MHSCardinal, do you have a link to the game? I can't get the broadcast from tristateinternetsportsradio.com to work. Thanks in advance!
  15. Newcath/Somerset info: WLLK-FM - Lake 102.3 All Hits. They also have a broadcast on iHeartRadio.
  16. I don't believe Mike Croley is returning to Bellevue per his reasons, not the school's.
  17. Just an unbelievable run Cooper is on! I hope that their parents, fans, players, staff, and community have enjoyed this journey. Such a special group of kids. I'd love to see them make it to Bowling Green to be able to give their best shot to whomever ends up there against them. Also, I know it's been said more and more recently, but Randy Borchers and his staff have done a marvelous job in building their program. Best of luck to them going forward.
  18. I saw where this game is being played on Thursday night. Is something going on at Newport Friday night or is it HC related?
  19. It's hard for me to believe this man didn't know what's going on in his backyard. No way cars roll up and park with you not seeing something. With that being said, kudos to Coach Rash for being a leader and teaching a good life lesson to these young people.
