The best Boyle could be is 3-0. Highlands is their 4th. game.

I agree. Until Danville can compete and give Boyle some value in playing, I think Boyle is better off elsewhere. Last year Boyle replaced Danville with St. Edward of Ohio and this season St. X. or Highlands will be in their spot. Now for as of JV or Freshmen I'm all for it.

Don't sleep on Atherton. Their defense is the real deal.

I was impressed with LCA last season. Only team that forced Boyle to punt the ball the entire season. Well coached, discipline, with hard nose players that play team ball. I look for them to test Boyle and make them a better team down the road when the playoffs start. After all isn't that why you play teams in the regular season to prepare you for the real season. To this day I believe Boyle never would have beaten a 2021 Johnson Central team for the State Championship had LCA not shown Boyle where their weakness was on run defense giving up 446 rushing yards.

From what I can see this Boyle team has a chip on their shoulder. Started after the loss to Covington Catholic. They hit the weight room very hard and worked their tales off this spring on conditioning. They set numerous weight lifting records and as a team this squad is the strongest Haddix has had at Boyle. I don't think this group will take anything for granite. From what I can tell the defense is the real deal and will carry them this season. Really looking forward to where they stack up with LCA, Lex Cath, Highlands, Ballard, and St. X in the next couple of weeks. One thing for sure. Come the start of the playoffs we will know what each team has. Boyle, Corbin. and Highlands all plays Douglas. Boyle plays Highlands, Highlands plays Cov Cath., Corbin plays Johnson Central. I think we will see where the East side of the State stands come playoff time.

Feeling pretty good where we are. Justin has said that this Boyle team has the most depth at lineman and strongest overall team he’s had at Boyle.

Looking forward to the start of football season. I expect Boyle to take some lumps and learn this season with their tough schedule. Hearing this is the strongest team and deepest line play Justin has had since coming to Boyle. Come playoff time Boyle will be ready to go and one of the favorites in 4A. Should be a entertaining game with BE.

Love to see Boyle go with a throwback theme for one game a year. I wished I had gotten my hands on one of those yellow helmets.

79 team went 9-1 on the season and ended up Central Kentucky Conference Champions. Back then only district champion went to the playoffs. We lost a heartbreaker to Russell County on a very muddy field. That was the day Boyle learned that they had problems placing the football field on top of a old farm pond. It took 18 more years for Boyle to lose another muddy heartbreaker to Dudley's Bourbon County team that made the decision to look into ways of getting a turf field installed.
