Coldest I've ever been in my life was on Black Friday November 28th. 2003 watching Boyle County play at Paducah Tilghman in the semi-finals. Boyle went on to beat Joe Casey and Hunter Cantwell and company 35-21.

I believe it was 2002 after Boyle beat Rockcastle County at the old fairgrounds in Louisville that the State 4A game between Trinity and Male it snowed pretty bad covering the field. This was the Bush vs Brohm championship game.

November 28th 2003. Boyle was playing at Paducah Tilghman that night and I remember everyone heading west that day after Thanksgiving. We both won that night and the next week at State. 2 of the 4 titles came back to Titletown. Danville also won November 23rd. 2001 at Mayfield 17-10 in same round of the playoffs. That was the year Danville became Titletown.

I'm thinking this game may be closer than everyone is predicting. A turnover here and there can make this game interesting. Boyle just can't show up. You can't go by last years State game as eveything went right for Boyle that night and everything went wrong for Cov Cath. I remember a Bourbon County team (that we beat 35-0 earlier that year) coming back to town back in the 97 playoffs and spanked Boyle the second time around. After the 6A upsets last week Boyle better come ready! No one expected Great Crossings to knock off Manual. Catholic has nothing to lose and that makes them dangerous.

RPI is good just needs to be tweaked some. I like the RPI a ton better than the old way of if it was your regions turn to host or not. I think you will be opening a can of worms with people and a committee deciding the parings.
