I'm not saying that, but what I am saying is that if you are going to have 6 classes of teams with 4 teams going in each district, it seems like there could be some parity to allow teams with a winning season to not be left out of the playoffs.

I think its a shame that a team with a winning season will miss the playoffs and teams that haven't won the first game will be going! KHSAA really needs to take a STRONG LOOK at this format!

I see what you are saying, I guess it just depends on what you want to run. I was talking about the traditional wishbone with the triple option package, but if you are going to run the powerbone or I type isolation plays, then you will need stronger linemen for the straight-up blocking assignments.

I personally think the KHSAA should be disbanded and A body of overseers appointed by the Governor for 1 year terms should run the athletics in Kentucky. By appointing people for 1 year terms, there isn't time to get politics involved.

I disagree, in fact, when you have LESS capable linemen, you should run the bone. Reason behind this is you don't do a lot of straight up blocking like traditonal power offenses do like the power I. In the bone you use a lot of angle, double team, and downfield blocking.

Belfry has done very well with it.

Belfry did the smart thing, rest everyone and take no chances on anyone getting hurt. I understand they played sloppy, without your best kids in the game you will play sloppy! Belfry did enough to get the win and will be ready to roll with everyone for the S.C. game.

Belfry, when HEALTHY is the best team in the State in thier class, healthy is the key word here! Without May, Dotson, and a couple other players, Belfry is vulnerable, just like any other team who loses key people. With them Belfry rolls, without them, its a war.

I just can't believe that a J.C. Alumn just called the Paintsville Johnson Central game "meaningless" LOL

IMO this is an upset.

You have the right to your opinion and you could be right, but think about this....... Belfry's first team defense has yet to be scored on this year.

Belfry is without a doubt the team to beat in 3A.

How would have thunk it? Just goes to show that there are no done deals, except for death and taxes. Teams have to buckle up every week.

I think Boyle Co. is a very dangerous team, they have lost so many close games to tough teams and they are just liable to get on a hot streak and make a big run. I have seen this before, if you look back in the past Beechwood has had streaks like this and get it going and take the whole thing. Don't count the Rebs out just yet!

I consider this to be somewhat of an upset.

This is a no brainer in my book, the all star team would win in a walk. Look at it this way, are you saying the Tennessee All Stars couldn't beat Colerain? Kentucky has had the edge over them in the last 10 matches.

Yeah, that says a lot for the new playoff format.

Look for Belfry to be in Louisville at the end of the year. Usually they start the season slow, but looked very good both sides of the ball.

I like Belfry, I look for them to win by a couple of T.D.'s

I seriously doubt it, J.C. will have thier way with them, if they don't, forget about any chance of winning a State Title.
