Sheldon Clark comes to the CAM next friday night, should be a great game, I would like to hear everyones thoughts and predictions.

Belfry runs away with this one. SC weak non-district schedule payed them no dividends. I would like to see this one be the close game that it usually is, but this Belfry team in my opinion is in a class by itself.

Should be a good ole good one! It will be very difficult for the Cards to go into CAM and win. The Pirates haven't forgotten about last season. Great players on both teams.

Belfry has ALOT opf questions to resolve coming into this one:

 

Injuries- May and Dotson are both questionable for this game, this duo is arguably one of the best LB tandems in the state. Soph KR/CB/HB Timmy Lovern also got dinged up a little bit in the final minutes tonight, although it didn't appear to be much.

 

Rust- Belfry has looked dreadful and uninspired the past two weeks. The Pirates have sleptwalk in the victories over Magoffin and Pike Central, meanwhile Bell County gave SC an excellent challenge and helped them rpepare for alot of things that Belfry will be doing.

 

Challenge- Belfry has pulled their starters before the 4th quarter every game since the season opener, now they will probably be asked to play all 4.

 

300- Haywood's chance to win 300, but you know SC doesn't want to make history by allowing Hilton/Haywood to reach this plaeau in successive weeks.

 

Homecoming- It's Belfry's homecoming and all the distractions that comes with that.

 

Revenge- Belfry practically handed SC a victory last season and have ahd this agme amrked on the schedule since that night, will the emotions be too high?

 

District Title- Winner takes the district title, the 1 seed, the homefield advantage, and the track to Louisville.

 

Bullseye- As if it isn't hard enough, Belfry may very well be the unanimous #1 in all the polls entering this game.

After seeing how easily Bell County handled SC in Inez, I don't think that the Cards have much of a shot at willing at Belfry. I expect a similar score in this game, especially if the Pirates have all of their horses back.

Belfry will roll in this one...SC RB Dials will not reach 100yds rushing in this one.

Belfry's defense is just too good....Coach Haywood will record win #300 in convincing fashion in front of a rowdy home crowd.

Belfry, when HEALTHY is the best team in the State in thier class, healthy is the key word here! Without May, Dotson, and a couple other players, Belfry is vulnerable, just like any other team who loses key people. With them Belfry rolls, without them, its a war.

Just something to consider before we see those "42-14", "48-0" predictions:

 

Belfry could very well be playing without 4 defensive starters this week, and two offensive starters. All this on top of losing will Southerland early in the year already. The defensive starters have all shown a knack for playmaking, and not only will this cause the obvious pains of going to less experienced players off the bench, but it will also result in some players having to change positions. even if some of these starters play they will not be at 100% as well.

 

Belfry better be on upset alert this week or we could have a very vivid replay of last season when the Pirates fell to a SC team that Belfry was easily 3 TD's better than.

If in fact Belfry is down 4-5 starters due to injury....then of course this game takes a complete turn. Injuries are part of every teams season....and the bug has certainly bit the Pirates. Regardless....If May and Dotson can suit up and play at 85-90%.....Belfry wins this one. If not...then we may have to make a trip to Inez in early November and the beat'em down there.

 

Make no mistake....when healthy....Belfry is 3-4 scores better than SC.
