  1. LCA just beat CAL, they have a very strong running game. Mayfield will be much more polished by season's end. Beechwood's passing game is better than Owensboro. Yep, 4 team race.
  2. I agree the PT defense is vastly underrated, at least to the casual fan. I think they'll contain Henderson's QB and ultimately win going away.
  3. Hard to listen to the pregame video with the background music constantly playing.
  4. I agree with this. Especially if that shooter had previously stated "I'm going to kill alot of people". This is a tough call but look how bad LEOs and agencies get scrutinized after a mass shooting. The should've, could've, would've is so easy after the fact. In the grand scheme of things not one life is worth these football games. When you're the person that has to sign you name on the line, most all us would be hesitant to approve the activities. On the other hand, a change of venue seemed to be the solution for both sides of this problem.
  5. I can't see McCracken holding Mayfield to 20 points. It doesn't apper the Mustangs have the strength on defense. England should have a great game for the Cardinals.
  6. All the games in WKY most likely have rain / weather come into play. Statistics show Union Co is run heavy and Murray is pass heavy. Probably a really close game in good conditions. The Braves run game gives them the advantage and I think they win by 2 scores if not pushed back to Saturday.
  7. On paper it looks like a tight game. Great Crossing will need to look past the name on the opposing jerseys and play their game. Lexington Catholic should come in hungry after three losses, and with expectations of winning. A loss here puts them in jeopardy of starting 0-6 (Lexington Christian & Boyle Co on the horizon).
  8. I feel he has taken his last shot, from what the media has stated.
  9. Well deserved!! He seems to be an outstanding young man off the field too.
  10. It appears they'll be streaming it this Friday. JCHS LiveStream | Johnson Central High School
  11. I'm fairly certain he left last week's game but no word on the reason or his status.
  12. If true, it will be more than a 20-point loss if Mayfield doesn't shore up the special teams.
  13. The status of Brenden Anthony is questionable as well. Absolutely a great player and game changer on both sides of the ball. LCA seemed to be the favorite anyway and I don't see a scenario where Pikeville wins without his availability.
  14. Excellent point CWB - about the defensive scores against Cov Cath's offense & special teams. I was siding with the Cov Cath defense even before that tidbit of information. BTW, wondering where you came up with 49? Splitting hairs but 51 seems to be the number allowed by Cov Cath's defense.
  15. All though it's 75-62 on points allowed, let's look at the competition. Dixie Heights & Mercer Co compared to Ryle & Highlands.
  16. I too think this sets up for a good game with an edge to the home team. As TheBallCoach pointed out, Parsley's punts pinned Greenwood inside the 20 nearly every time. I believe two or three times inside the 5. One was a questionable as the defender appeared to carry the ball across the goal line before tossing it back.
  17. That tackle for the safety kind of sums up the game....... down for the count & lights out.
  18. Greenwood was gifted a TD to start the game when the Warren East returner muffed the opening kickoff and the Gators recovered it at the half yard line. After that the game was pretty much even (statistically) and the Warren East defense bent but didn't break. Greenwood appears to be too one dimensional on offense and struggles with pass defense. I agree, long year for Greenwood but still a good win for Warren East.
  19. Thought Johnson Central had a chance after putting up 300+ yards rushing against Madison Central. I didn't think they could win by this margin. Pikeville looked very flat and unenthusiastic, especially after Anthony went out.
  20. Some vile language in those videos. We've got to do better as parents, coaches, teachers, and community leaders.
  21. For now, I'll lean towards Boyle Co for overall #1. Trinity beating Frederick Douglass on the road isn't chopped liver.
